So nothing about competing with G-Suite??? Are Apple kidding me? did they mention nothing about the Cloud?? lol they haven't a bloody clue..What school is going to ditch Google when they give unlimited cloud space and full device management , it doesn't matter how great the devices are when you have to deploy hundreds of them and manage all the apps..This time next year Google will be 70-80 % market share in schools up from the 50-60% they are now in the US and climbing rapidly here in the UK..
What an absolute joke..

Greed this company has is incredible. Why not include a pencil when schools purchase these at no extra charge. No smart keyboard connectors? really!? Schools can literally do a one stop shop with an Apple branded keyboard and pencil. Now they need to worry about dealing with bluetooth connection issues and 3rd party products.

What if he says it’s bad? Mass suicide?

I said it to lower the expectations of those who were expecting good stuff. And I was right, Tim Cook was excited, and the announcements were really bad. If he didn't say anything, it could have been a good or a bad show. But if he twitted he was excited, it was really going to be bad.

Odd that they'd put so much work into an event, and product and services tailored toward education, and then mute the announcement of it by not streaming it. From a PR standpoint, that sends a message I'm sure they don't wish to send.

Well if I look around me right now in my class, it's more than 50% macbooks, about 10% iPad's, 20% pen and paper and the other 20% is windows laptops. Literally zero chromebooks. I get that it's a small sample size, but I doubt it's much different in other colleges/universities.

Not in college, but in the K12 sector Chromebooks have completely eaten the competition for the past couple of years in the US.
