Yes, but some Macs were upgraded last June and they don't have a short upgrade cycle so I wouldn't expect new products today.
I know some folks always ask for a Mac mini upgrade, and it is long overdue. Finger crossed, as always, but I don't expect a new Mini today

No. I can't see how that would be indicative either way. It's most likely due to the venue.
