The cheapest version (32GB WiFi) of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is 679€ = 760$ and the version that I wanted to get 128GB Cellular is 1009€ = 1130$ and then + pencil + keyboard…. NEVER EVER!!!

In Germany all prices are even 10€ higher than in Austria, also for the iPhone SE.

At least it was until they closed the store today, even the strange prices for the other iOS devices. I am afraid they raise the prices in Austria up to the same level again as it always had been before.

Edit: It seems my first iPad will be a refurbished or used Air 2, but I wanted the the pencil so much. :(

I doubt the online storefront was taken down to "prepare for the launch". No online business takes down their storefront to prepare for release of new products. Especially an enterprise.

No you won't ;)
No joke. All my smart phones have been iPhones. I just tried using Android for the cost savings....huge nightmare. Android is a sick joke. I didn't even last 24 hours on Android. Gave me a HUGE appreciation for why Apple phones are the best. I still want to see some UI and OS tweeks but there is NO comparison between the two. Sign me up for a new SE...ASAP!!!

Oh and you get all this throw away stuff as well:
Double the speakers (stereo/surround)
7.1 Dolby surround support
6x cpu performance since air 1
Probably 8x-10x gpu performance
Apple Pencil support
300% resolution increase on camera
Camera flash
Smart connector capabilities for accessories
Ambient light sensors for true color tones based on environment
The brightest, widest color gamut on any apple device in existence
Touch ID
M9 Coprocessor for "Hey Siri" support and health stuff
20% thinner
~15-20% lighter
Worth noting, most of those 'features' would be throw away for me.

There are trade in shops for Austria and Germany that pay much more than Apple and selling on eBay would be very much more… When I sold my 6 and 4s I'll buy the SE as second phone to join my 6s Plus.

But I can't order from Apple Germany only some authorized resellers and here the SE is announced for ordering at March 29, the iPad Pro has not even a release or preorder date.

I think I'll wait until the next version of the big one instead of buying a new slim and light MacBook (Pro) with larger screen in (rose) gold.

OS X is getting more and more annoying. I just downgraded to Mountain Lion. But I shouldn't use Safari anymore or install Mavericks instead. Version 6.2.8 is not running very well and maybe insecure.

Price jackers won't win this time around because expectations are that supplies will be aplenty. So anyone planning a quick resale, you have been warned.

Hope so, I'm planning to order one in China today. Most new iPhones have an appointment 'lottery' where you enter your email online and you might get an appointment to buy one the next day.

I see this as the least improved iPad ever released since the original came out. Considering they took an extra 6 months to get us the updated 9.7" iPad (vs the annual updates we've been getting), and they increased the price by $100, they needed to do a bit more. If they at least added force touch to the iPad, I'd of bought one. Extra $100 for what? We always get faster CPUs, and more memory (they didn't even include more memory on this). The smart connector isn't of any value, as that requires even more cost to leverage (as well as the pen support). At $499 I'd of bought one to replace my iPad Air. That $100 is just a slap in the face.

Apple will sell a lot of them with support for the Pencil, a much better display with a wider color gamut, True Tone technology, better audio, smart connector for better keyboard support, 12 Mpixel camera, much faster faster A9X processor, faster wireless, etc, all in a smaller package that will be more manageable for many. Other than that, yup, it's just like your old iPad Air.

Apple will sell a ton of iPhone SEs as well.

Perhaps a Sanyo or Samsung tablet would work better for you? Operators are standing by...

Wouldn't "Price jackers" of the SE be...

FoneJackers?

Question:

I am going to be in Vegas on launch day.. Since everyone thinks they'll have adequate supply, what are the chances of me walking into an Apple Store on the Las Vegas strip (inside Caesar's, for example) AT 7 or 8PM LAUNCH NIGHT, and asking for an SE for them to have one?

I want a 16GB Space Grey SE.. I'm still on a 5s. I've been eagerly awaiting this day!

Thanks!

A 16GB? I bet your chances are pretty good, but I don't think anyone really can know for sure (although you can stop by a sports book and ask the odds, they're pretty good at knowing things like that). If Forum Shops doesn't have what you want, Town Square is likely to have more (and it's possible Fashion Show would too, it's closer). If you're not driving there's a free shuttle to Town Square from the Trop.

Hey! Thanks for the reply dude. Not to thread jack, but we are staying at the Club 36 if you're familiar with that place... Where do you suggest I check first?

I'm still prepared to preorder tonight, as I remain undecided on what to do...

Why, oh why, couldn't they have offered the SE in 128 GB? I have a 5S at 64 GB, and all that "Other" category (that I can't seem to delete or erase or reduce) is taking up 15 GB. My iPad is 128 GB, and I have 40 GB to spare. (That includes loading it with many movies.) Why the limitation on the SE? Now I am torn between an oversized 6S or 6S Plus (and mucho dollars), or an SE than provides the same storage space as my two-year-old 5S. Sometimes I really hate Tim Cook's price margins (considering how overpriced GB storage is on Apple products).

I want to see new MacBooks too. I hope it's 8 a.m. and not 12. I was up the whole night. Now it's 5:46.

But I don't buy anything. :D

I was considering the 9.7" Pro until the RAM revelation. Sure, 2GB is plenty for most people. But this thing needs to be able to run the same Pro software the big one does. That means larger canvases, more layers, and advanced apps yet to be developed. Now it has the same RAM as the cheapest iPhone ever.

You see, by limiting this model, devs won't want to invest in building high-end apps for the more niche 12.9" model which has the specs to handle complex tasks. 9.7" is where the market and money is at for developers and as it stands now, the needle isn't being pushed forward vs. just using an iPad Air 2. So I'll continue to do that because it's still a really great iPad and plenty fast for ordinary tasks. I'm just disappointed because I was ready for things to be taken to the next level with regard to content creation capabilities.

The Apple Pencil is cool and I want one but between modest performance increases, a camera I'll never use, speakers I don't care about, $100 extra cost, case incompatibility costing $69 for a case and $49 for a cover, and $99 for the Pencil—the costs add up quick! For me the 128GB model would cost $966 to get the Pencil and better display with a slightly faster processor, and that doesn't include tax. No thank you! I'll wait for version 2 or 3. Besides, that will give Apple time to either develop Pro software for it and/or make iOS better suited for content creation and project management.

If you're in the market for an iPad and don't need to draw, get the Air 2. It's a great deal right now and will be supported for years to come. It is excellent and Apple will sell craploads at $399, just like the iPhone SE.

Yeah, I don't hate Android, but it's not for me either. Quality apps for music (+ no Core Audio), photography, design, etc. just aren't there on Android. I love iOS - it's just a smoother, more stable and secure OS. Enjoy the SE - looks like it's gonna be a great iPhone.

So you're going from and iPad Air 1 16gb and the new pro ships with 32gb. There, that's your extra $100.

Ya, great comparison. To a 2.5 year old iPad. Shocking how much has progressed /s

Well, if you're not driving... Town Center would be convenient because the shuttle stop at the Trop is a block from where you're staying (well a 15-minute walk for a block). Then again if you're planning to go to Forum Shops... you'll already be there, so maybe that's convenient. I actually prefer the restaurants at Town Square anyhow. ;-)

Regardless, I suspect 16GB might be well-stocked, then again the cheaper version of the cheaper model in the most popular color might be scarcer. Just guessing based on my experience buying several phones at launch every year.
