Well so much for getting ahead of the game. Just called Apple and they said all of the codes they sent out early are bad and we should be getting new emails in a couple days with new codes.

Seems like all the codes they give out doesn't work including the new ones.

I just applied for a code a few hours ago and just had the redeem code via email a few minutes ago. I also have the code used error.
 
When I enter my code in the App Store, it tells me that the code "has already been used". What the heck!?:confused:

UPDATE: ok, I see a lot of people are having this problem. It's annoying that they're not going to fix it until "a couple of days". Oh well.
 
Bad code here too. If apple are struggling with the amount of downloads I am sure they will be wanting to take care of new "paying" customers before they address our issues. May have to wait a little on this one.
 
How long did you guys have to wait to receive any emails?

I have filled the form and got a reference code, but so far no emails; that was about an hour and a half ago.

I should probs wait longer, just want to know how long people have had to wait
 
Has any one managed to install it yet? Whats the build number please? Same as GM, cheers
 
I filled out the application when MR first reported on this and they said they would email me, but it's been like 2 days and I haven't gotten an email from them. I have my claim number. Is there anyway to check the status of my claim?
 
I filled it out 30 minutes ago, no email or code received yet.

I purchased through amazon. It was odd that there were maybe 30 different amazon.com options to choose for the retailer.

Same here, still not received the e-mails (although reading elsewhere the code they would contain would probably be invalid :rolleyes: )

I've just tried filling out the form again and it says that this serial number (of my MBP) is already claimed :mad:

Looks like Apple have really screwed this up :mad:
 
I applied for my free upgrade probably at least 3 hours ago and have not received an email with App Store code.
 
I called Apple Care this morning, as I was told the upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion would fix my continuous graphics issues; I used my same case number I've had with Apple for the last fortnight.

I mentioned to the guy that he can see on my case file the problems, and that I was promised that the upgrade will fix all my woes, and that this is hampering my business, as this is my sole business machine.

I gave him my claim reference; seems its been accepted. I was given the same answer, to wait 48-72 hours. I told the guy I've been waiting 48 hours already, so confirmed I'd only need to wait until tomorrow afternoon at the latest, he seemed assured I would receive my code by email by then. I asked him if it didn't come whether he should be aware I will be calling back; he positively suggested I should definitely do that if I haven't received anything by then.

So I feel somewhat positive about the experience so far, lets see how I feel about it tomorrow afternoon when I haven't received anything! :D

Got my redeem code last night at 9:21pm.... I didn't know until this morning because I was watching the Olympics opening ceremony!

Seems to have worked, I now have to wait for it to download... I hope everyone else waiting has also received their codes :)

Still waiting. Put mine through on the 24th and called the 26th and was told fix coming 48-72 hours. I guess I'll keep waiting, but I'm calling apple again on monday
