Why do you listen to them then, if they bother you so much?

I stopped listening to them, which is why I have a Note8 and haven't bought a Mac since 2012.

But upon hearing such nonsense, someone needs to call him out on it somewhere, so I did right here.

Sure call out Apple mgmt. Not sure it makes a difference in the grand scheme of things, but give it a shot.

Haha. They did it on purpose though, that notch is 100% Apple. They could have made a black bezel spanning the width of the phone, but then it would look like other handsets on the market. They packed the tech in the notch and released something that looks different. I get it. Even if it is weird at first. The notch is the new home button (in terms of branding). Awkwardness be dam*ed.
Burp. Then have all Joni's awards transferred to Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Wuppi, Oneplus, Sammy and the rest of the bunch...

Just curious, but isn't this kind of like saying TouchID sucks when you put a piece of tape over 1/2 of your fingerprint and then try to scan it?

TouchID will never work with tape over half of your fingerprint, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if future iterations of FACE ID are able recognize half a face.

As to your comment I’m looking forward to the note 8 exercise brick. Comes with its own crane to lift it.
Correlation with the Notch ?
(it might have deterred the user from buying it)

My principal complaints have been notifications (now requires downswipe from upper LH corner) and control center (downswipe from upper RH corner), aggravated by the fact that I have found Reachability sort of fiddly to invoke. I should add, though, that after three weeks I may be getting used to this. I had to check on family in NYC this morning while walking to work and was able to access everything one-handed (using Reachability). So it's possibly a case of old dogs learning new tricks...

Great find and post. Not even sure how to enact reachability on the X?

It makes a difference to those who are willing to hear.

I was stuck in an Apple-only rut for years because I chose to believe Apple's BS marketing.

When I finally gave an Android device a try I found it was the right fit for me. All this was possible because people here were calling out Apple on BS like this.

So in a sense, I'm just payin' it forward.

Not everyone believes what you believe and not everyone is stuck in a rut. I got some assistance on getting my first idevice and I’m happy with my idevices and in a sense I guess I’m payin’ It forward as well. To each their own.

I never said everyone believes what I do, or even needs to.

I was just saying that BS is BS, and that for current Apple users whom Apple is not a good fit for anymore, there ARE alternatives out there that are just as functional and fun to use despite what Mr. Schiller FUDs out of his mouth.

So perhaps we can agree that to each their own.
