The iPhone 4 that had the poorly designed antenna or the black iPhone 5 that looked like a chipped mess after a month? That era was not great either. Ive is overrated.I mean the 2013 era, 2011 Air, iPhone 4 & 5.

Do you know what you are saying? Upgradable RAM and SSD, removable WiFi and bluetooth card, an optical drive that can be removed to add more storage, just about any port you would ever need and they had a good keyboard. The failure on this generation wasn't design, it was the graphics card. The current MacBook Pro design is a HUGE improvement over the mid 2010s MacBook Pro. The user's needs are actually being considered now. Hard to believe Ive's MacBook Pro design lacked an HDMI port for so many years. Did he never give a presentation?
Never understood the problem with that design. It’s logical design because it’s a device that is charged so infrequently.Did the engineering team decide to make the Magic Mouse charge from the bottom?
It has been a minor inconvenience for me at best.Never understood the problem with that design. It’s logical design because it’s a device that is charged so infrequently.
The charging port on the underside of a device you charge once monthly is not the problem with the magic mouse. The ergonomics of the overly flat and narrow device are.The design team that put the charging port at the bottom of the mouse decided to leave? Doesn’t sound like a loss to me.
Not necessarily.Yes? And?
Reducing costs for Apple reduces cost for consumers.
If Apple had higher production and manufacturing costs, would that mean the price of iPhone would stay the same?
I've designed the antenna band, but the testing team said it worked; even Steve Jobs approved the 4's antennas. The fact that the 4S kept the the same antenna design but the engineers shifted the antenna gaps means that his antenna design was sound. The iPhone 4 that had the poorly designed antenna or the black iPhone 5 that looked like a chipped mess after a month? That era was not great either. Ive is overrated.
Exactly, you would have to ignore at least a week of notifications, and simply refuse to charge the mouse while you aren't using it, for the bottom port to be an issue. Hell, you can even plug it in and get a cup of coffee to get enough charge for your day; then charge it that night. The charging port on the underside of a device you charge once monthly is not the problem with the magic mouse. The ergonomics of the overly flat and narrow device are.
Why people continue to harp on this baffles me...
Focus to keep costs down for Apple, not the users. Have to maximize profit over innovation, just like Apple in the 1990s
Good they need to go back to making upgrades user servicable without ripping the whole thing apart or worse, not even being user servicable. Go back to panels where it took like 5m or less to swap ram and a drive.Need to focus on repairability and upgradability as others in the industry are starting to. Dell are now offering laptops which are slim and repairable. Apple products used to be user serviceable and they should return to this.
Yes, because needing a $9.99 adapter to use the first generation pencil on the iPad 10 is so innovating.Yeah...no innovation at all in Apple Silicon Macs, recent iPhones, iPads, etc.
Imagine the epic whine-fests here if Apple simply didn't pay attention to costs.
If you are buying a Pencil it comes with the adapter.Yes, because needing a $9.99 adapter to use the first generation pencil on the iPad 10 is so innovating.

Exactly, you have to spend $120 on a pencil or $10 to use your old one. That is profit over function. If you are buying a Pencil it comes with the adapter.
If you already have a Pencil, would you rather spend $10 for an adapter or $120 for a new Pencil?
Focus to keep costs down for Apple, not the users.
The current iMac design is stagnant and a minor adjustment to previous designs. I remember my G5 iMac having a similar design minus the coloured chin, metal and braided cord.I am not saying that the current iMac is a bad machine, just imagine the current iMac display on an almost infinitely adjustable stand.
Profit over function would have required a new Pencil, other its a USB-C Pencil 1 or new Pencil 3. This wouldn't be an issue if USB-C weren't being mandated on everything.Exactly, you have to spend $120 on a pencil or $10 to use your old one. That is profit over function.
I wonder how many engineers at Apple died inside when that thing was released. 😂Did the engineering team decide to make the Magic Mouse charge from the bottom?
1479€ for an iPhone 14 pro max in Europe really hurts
