Congratz to Apple.
Although this news about iPhone is a no brainer on how well its been selling in the market.

Read my other post. I am only talking about these adverts. Relating the homophobia in the adverts to any wider practices is like saying any muslim who insults a westerner is just as bad as any suicide bomber.

And in any case, I haven't seen anything homophobic in the droid adverts, although I don't live in the US. Is he referring to the princess phone? If he is then he really is reading things that aren't there.

Kara Swisher of AllThingsD agreed with me, among many others felt offended. (She also got blasted for overtly sensitive in the comments section.)

Is the New Droid Ad Anti-Women and Anti-Gay or Just Plain Idiotic? Actually, All Three!

You don't feel it? Okay, you are entitled to feel nothing. I understand it is not everyone's priority.

Oh yes, quite a steady, odiferous stream.

Some people choose to loathe the crappy tools they use themselves that make their daily work lives unpleasant - hence my loathing of almost all things Microsoft (though they do make nice mice).

Others choose to loathe the companies that make better tools than the crappy tools they use themselves that make their daily work lives unpleasant - hence AidenShaw's loathing of almost all things Apple.

An interesting phenomenon. I believe Freud called this transference?

I wonder how much recent success rides on the wave of the iPhone? Aside from iPhone sales, there must be some new iPhone users that have invested in getting a Mac as Apple's brand awareness grows.
Something like a half of all new Mac sales from retail Apple Stores are by first-time Mac purchasers, an astounding figure. So yes, the "halo effect" is real.

I'm sorry but until you let us know what device you are posting form, your replies will be irrelevant. ;)

You'll never guess what I post from :) (looks up) nooooooo!

You use HTC? Noob. :D

Dammit! :(

You > Me. :D

What all I have is an Nokia N97, thats not something to be proud of.

Don't worry, Nokia is now suing Apple for making iPhones, iPods and computers. I'm sure all the money they'll get from Apple with their ludicrous patent assault will enable them to make a decent smartphone for once.

Or not.

Yeah, probably not.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but this is surreal.

I wonder why Nokia hasn't made an attempt to patent electricity?

Perhaps, they have.

Well, its better than android. :D

@Dmann, they tried. They forgot that electricity was already patented.

Yet, it seems his transference neurosis transcends loathing - he actually shills and defends the very crap which has wreaked havoc on so many, has caused incessant periods of downtime, disrupting productivity, and has been a major source of frustration for nearly two decades.

A landmark case study, to say the very least.

Nokia has just painted us a beautiful picture that illustrates exactly why companies today file so many ridiculous patents: to use as a counterattack to other companies' ridiculous patents. The patent system is broken and Nokia just threw another wrench into the gears.

Thank you Nokia. I hate you.

Yes, fueled by endless reservoirs of spite.

It seems that all of this came out of the woodwork after they noticed the iPhone's sustained level of success.

Perhaps, they were merely attempting to hitch a ride, albeit in a slightly different manner than the Palm Pre. (Pray)

Wait until Nokia finds out that Apple has a patent on...Nokia. *Nokia's head explodes*

I wonder if Apple has any old patents left over form the newton that they could use against Nokia? I mean they must have, that's Apples thing.
This would be classic - Steve throws out the Newton, but retains the patents for future enforcement.

Now, there's efficiency for ya.
