Are you serious? Building a modern state of the art chip fab is not something you decide to day one day. Do you have any idea of how difficult this would be for a company that has never done it before? You can't just go out and hire Fabs-r-Us.

The Apple M processor established a new experience with Macs; going back to Intel is a step backward. Intel currently plays a very strong role only in the enterprise server market with its Xeon processors. Even in the desktop segment, Intel has lost ground to AMD with its Ryzen line.

No there wont because this isnt Apple going back to x86, they’re just going to be using Intel as a foundry, the way they contract with TSMC, to make their chips
