Who cares? Must be a slow news day at MacRumors if they think this is important. Certainly not front page worthy.
I love how people criticize this for not being newsworthy, but if nothing were posted at all, people would complain that no news was posted.![]()
Or it could be a hoax.No one is forcing you to read this site. The administrators decide what is worthy for this site and what is not.
Personally, I agree with this decision. It shows an incredible change in Apple's public relations.
I wonder how long it'll be until Steve Jobs gets a Twitter
. I hope to God though, Scott isn't going to tweet a suicide letter and try to take Apple down with him.

Again, there is no logical advantage for the Senior VP of iOS to have an official presence on Twitter based on Apple's modus operandii of corporate communications.
Because the guy heads up the iPhone division. Because of the iPhone 4 antenna brouhaha, his guy probably provides status reports to Steve several times a day.why would anyone go to the extreme trouble of a creating a fake twitter account with this person..of -all- possible choices at Apple?
unless you are are engaging in some super lame & pointless attempted corporate sabotage (get yer tinfoil hat out, kidz)...or another Art Bell-esque endeavor, what would the point be of choosing this guy for a spoof account?
Apart from the fact that Apple handles PR crises relatively poorly, I don't see how Apple will regain confidence from the marketplace by opening a Twitter account. I can see Apple corporate PR bungling the situation even more by taking some sort of half-assed, poorly contrived tactic (like saying that Steve was taking antibiotics for a viral ailment that ended up being pancreatic cancer). This changes everything, again!
No really. This antenna situation is boiling up into a crazy PR nightmare. The rules have changed. You can throw that modus operandii out the window. We are seeing an Apple in damage control mode.
Why would he do this? It's laughable to even think so.
I don't why so many people here are hating on this article when the majority here probably clicked on the link and decided to follow him just because he's one of SJ's right hand men.
And please no one reply to my post saying you didn't follow Scott's Twitter because you can't prove you didn't.
Tru dat. This is front page news? Wow. In other news, Steve Jobs had his car vacuumed today, 73 cents was found.
Why would I follow Scott's Twitter account? I can read about it here and ten thousand interpretations of what he just tweeted (9,997 of those interpretations would be wrong though).I don't why so many people here are hating on this article when the majority here probably clicked on the link and decided to follow him just because he's one of SJ's right hand men.

^^ I can't believe this is a serious post ^^
I promise. I do not follow his twitter.

Yes, if you don't think Steve is trying to make his team do the impossible with software to fix a physical hardware issue. Just take a moment to believe this is true, then imagine the amount of pressure you would be burden with... I, for one, wouldn't be laughing, but then again I actually have empathy for those kinds of stakes, as I'm still up working and taking a break to read this forum.
