Even if they were ready they wouldn't combine the iPads with the iPhone announcement. They want media coverage talking about iPhones and nothing else for a full day. Then later they want the media to do it again for the iPads, in particular with the new case, lighter design coming to the full size iPad.

NO WAY this is true.

I've been a Mac-Maniac too long. Am I really getting excited about a spec bumped new iPhone & iPad? Me thinks I need help.....

We don't even need new hardware for that. Just new software for the existing hockey pucks. A screen is just a screen.

Apple TV only has a single core A5, i doubt it would handle games at 1080p. I'm thinking there will be a new Apple TV with an app store :)

Common Apple release something all we have seen so far is an update to MacBook airs its nearly September and still no iPads. iMacs etc its becoming a tedious wait.

Great news if true. Release the new iPads with iOS 6 and offer iOS 7 later, so i can enjoy the new devices without having to deal with iOS 7 :D

I don't think it will ever run games natively. But you can run your game on your iPhone and put it up on the screen using Airplay, and your iPhone just becomes the controller, although it does all the graphics processing.

A lot of games do that now but they need to improve the Airplay latency-- Airplay is pretty laggy for games on my ATV2, dunno if it's any better on the 3rd gen.

This makes sense to me. I don't think there's going to be anything revolutionary about either the new iPhone or iPad to warrant a stand-alone event for each of them. What's revolutionary come September is iOS 7, so it stands to reason that Apple will debut all the new iOS 7 products at that time. Plus, with the Christmas shopping season starting earlier and earlier, Apple's going to want to make sure that it's fully stocked with new iPhones and iPads for sale by the beginning of October. I think a few weeks after this, there'll be another Mavericks event, when Apple will debut the new Mac Pro, and some upgraded Haswell iMac and MBP products.

If it is true, there will be too much product released in the Sept 10 event.
iOS7
iPhone 5S
iPhone 5C
iPad 5
iPad mini with retina
There are rumors about new rMBP will release in Sept. So may also have
OS X Mavericks
new rMBP
new Mac Pro
new iMac
Are there too much?
I dont think OS X and new rMBP can have a separate event is October. If iOS 7 for iPad is delayed, i think it is better for them to have a separate event for iPad and Mac.

Or one big event to kill the rumors, stifle any buzz Samsung has gotten from the 4th. And then split launches.

True. And they can still have another event for Macs and Apple TV (assuming something is happening in that space). I'm guessing they'll want a proper roll out for the new Mac Pro, especially if they have new thunderbolt displays to go along with it.

if that is true... i cant believe.... seems apple now gives all attention to the "toy-users" and leaves the "pro-users" behind.

about time for a rmbp refresh...

Yeah, they're really screwing the Pro users by making a $100 million factory to build the new Mac Pro...

i'm kinda doubting, wasnt there a news where the ios 7 ipad version would ship later ? and apple as far as I know wouldn't like to share spotlights of their flagship products, and also the rumored 5C.

but yeah hopefully i'm wrong and apple launch the new ipad.

Yeah, doubt it. iOS 7 is already behind for the iPads. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to release them that soon. Moreover, the September 10th event would be too busy.

So far rumors on the new phones are pretty light on discussion points. Once you spend five minutes on the finger print scanner what else is there to talk about?

Why not at least do a processor bump on the iPad mini even if you can't get retina in it yet?
