“Steve , why are you not debugging that kernel issue !! “
Steve: “ oh I am doing this AR thing for the event ״
This is how you imagine things work in Cupertino? Or it’s just your way to vent in an unrelated thread ?

There’s always at least one post with said comment or similar.

Because we all know Apple can’t multitask I guess? Lol

Just waiting for this one to be over so they can get on to the 14-16" Apple Silicon macbook pros.

I went from a 6s+ to a 12max last year, have no interest in a new phone.

I just went from a 2008 MacBook to an M1 MacBook so I hope they just skip the new MacBook variants altogether for the next couple years.

This logo could mean a black iPhone 13 and always-on display for the Pro Max.

It could also mean Apple is opening Apple all-night diners.

I can’t stand dates written this way, and it seems like everyone is doing it now. You’d think with a company supposedly so focused on design, they’d come up with something more creative and pleasing to the eye.

How do you feel dates should be written so they’re pleasing to the eye and how does the use of a period make it so painful to look at?

In fact, why is anyone complaining about this at all?

i wish they would ease up on AR and focus on better native game development tools.

then they would be your typical mediocre brand as opposed to what they have become.

How so? How does finishing incomplete things they have neglected for years = mediocre? To me mediocre is neglecting things that third parties then have to come along and fill.

Well, obviously their multitasking ability is limited else everything undone would be done by now! Every person, and every company for that matter, has finite resources. I prefer this resources were spent on things other than one-time AR promotions and fluff like animojis.

what are you even talking about? what third parties filling what? apple having amazing marketing has nothing to do with whatever it is that makes you unhappy — it's handled by different departments. there is something wrong with every single company out there, but few have an amazing brand.

If only they would spend their time on more important things. You know...like finishing the OS instead of relying on 3rd party developers to meet basic functions that Apple can never seem to get around to.
Yeah, and the bugs. Geez.

What about the stupid one on the Lock Screen on iPad (at least the mini) where when you have only one notification, swiping on it either way does nothing. It just movies the screen left (for camera) or right (for the buggy widgets).

Oh and the stupidly buggy widgets. Gah. WebEx always says (no meetings coming up) when I have FOUR in the list, when I open the app. Or the one for my bank (bless its heart; it does the best it can), that gets crushed by the stupid widget framing (an iOS problem, not my bank's widget). The data is there, but iOS is crushing the framing... because widgets are stupid and buggy.

I try to give them a fair shot, and make them part of my flow, since so many people seem to adore them. I figured "hey, let's try again. They failed the first two times, so maybe they got it now." Nope. They just sit there and either don't update or completely fail to function. I even made sure to use the new style kind where I could. No better.

I also love how the scrolling list gets munged, because no one cared how they are presented. You get some awesome clipping and layering leakage. I thought clipping issues were fixed back in the Super NES and Nintendo 64 days... I guess not. Or maybe we're just recycling bugs now, just to keep busy.

sigh. I get it; iOS is complex now. But dang... have some heart, folks. How many programmers do they have there, now? They can't put 3 or 4 folks on this? Or is this what the Junior folks are doing as their "learning" project?

Annual big code changes need to stop. 18 months minimum.

I'd prefer almost anything else - a slash, hyphen, a mid-level dot, even a space... I just feel like people started using this a few years ago as some sort of pseudo technical presentation of a date that isn't as "cute" as some people think.

If you hate periods, you must really hate umlauts?
I don't hate periods; I just don't like their use in dates like this. Quite the contrary with umlauts - I hate the modern trend of of exchanging umlauts for their -e equivalent.

I guess in a country or 2 they always did the -e stuff. I do it often because my keyboard doesn’t have umlauts and nobody will speak to me in Deutsch anyway.

I can't tell you how many online forms and such I've had to enter my last name as Boehme because they don't accept umlauts. Let me be!
