Most in the general public probably don't care or need a lot of those features/items.... Apple is in the business of selling products to millions of general consumers... Not customizing computers for a few niche users.
I've gotta disagree here. I specifically remember being annoyed in 2006 when the new MacBooks came out with Bluetooth, FireWire, a webcam, and other features that other laptops at the time didn't have. I posted on some site like this one that I didn't want to pay extra for these features that I didn't need and wasn't going to use.

Make the new watch big enough to have battery life! A screen you can actually read and use too. What about the HomePod mini? Been waiting on an update for that for a long time!

As an endurance athlete, I am excited for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Currently loving my Ultra 2 (for the most part except for some inaccurate workout measurements). Hopefully battery life is also improved. It is still insufficient for long hikes, runs and swims.
Yeah but the lack of blood O2 kind makes the endurance metrics a bit lacking now. I haven’t updated because of this. Even thought the VO2 isn’t the best it’s still useful.

Yeah I feel like this is a weak year. Probably the weakest in a long time

Totally agree

For me, an iPad Mini 7 could save it ... but I don't think we even have rumors of that

With how they treat most "mini" things, I won't be surprised if they flat out cancel the Mini

I’m with you on that.
But I still really need my Apple products, the Mac’s mostly, an iPad and an iPhone is good to have to.
But beyond the immediate products for me, I look at other places/products as much as I can today.
No Apple products that I yearn for now, at all.

The aging Tim will soon be replaced, hopefully sooner than later.
Hope next CEO will change things to the better at least 😀
Whenever Apple is about to release a new product, the trolls emerge. The iPhone 15 is one of the best products Apple has ever made. I'm waiting for the M4 iMacs to appear. Apple has been great at providing OS improvements for my aging Intel iMac, but the new M4 machines will do a better job more efficiently. I found that to be the case when I traded up from my ancient Laptop Pro to an M2 Air version and I have every expectation the new iMacs will provide similar performance. Tim Cook is managing Apple with a steady hand.

Base iPad refresh. If they want to keep it inline with Apple Intelligence it’s going to need an A18 chip with at least 8GB RAM.

I’d they keep the price the same, which they should, it would steal millions of sales from the other iPads.
Apple doesn’t put the newest chip into the base iPad anymore. Ever since Apple chose to fragment the iPad lineup, the base iPad gets about a two-year-old chip in it. So it’d be more likely to see A16 in the iPad 11. Probably A18 in iPad Mini 7, though.

Pardon my ignorance but years ago I had a solar powered watch. Wish they could improve this tech enough to work within an Apple watch. Maybe some type of solar/plug in hybrid battery. For that matter it would be nice in an iPhone also. It cost nothing to daydream 😶‍🌫️

Hopefully some news about Studio M4 Ultra and Mac Pro M4 Extreme.
The Apple HEDTs languishing with M2s while an iPad Pro has an M4 is disturbing.
Even if they’re not shipping for another year some guidance one way or another would be helpful.
(Tapping on mic. “Is this thing on?”)

Apple has really never given "guidance" what what is released in a year. This is an iPhone even there won't be any mention of Mac in it at all. New Macs will be at the next even probably mid October.

The New MacBook Pro:

- AMOLED display
- Touchscreen
- Face ID
- 2K resolution front facing camera
- Metal backlit keyboard
- Trackpad with built in signature capture
- Surround sound speaker tech
- 5G cellular connectivity options with e-sim.

Took me 5 minutes to come up with that list. Mush for brains Tim does this for a living and still can't figure out that a laptop like this would sell like hotcakes. This is why he needs to be fired and replaced with someone who actually know what they're doing.

This list is terrible and Tim is one of the most successful tech CEOs ever.

So the 7th generation iPad mini and 4th generation Apple TV 4K are coming out possibly in the first half of next year? Probably has something to do with the increased availability of the A18 by then.

So those of us with small wrists that the 41mm fitted perfectly are now stuck with the bigger 45mm version!
Nope, we just are stuck on the Apple Watch Series 9 forever. Along with my iPhone 13 mini.

I don't really understand how apple is making these product decisions. I would easily be updating both of these products every year if they kept making them in form factors I can use but the truth is the old versions will still be usable for years. "Usable form factor" is a killer feature for me and no amount of processor spec bumps is going to override that.

I was really hoping to see the magnetic band changes come to the 10 and Ultra. The Apple Watch has been starving for changes. I reluctantly bought my first Apple Watch as a series 7 because I couldn't wait any longer for a decent upgrade from previous models. I was sure they would come to the 8, but now we're on the 10 and there's still nothing. Whoever is in charge of the Apple Watch should be embarrassed.

Are you small wristed?
No. I recently went from the largest Series 3 to largest Series 9, and it alone has been an adjustment. Meanwhile, my wife, and her girlfriends have the smaller 41mms, and shun any other as being too big on their wrists.

Granted if you want to surfe and Netflix these old chips are more than enough for everything you need. It’s fun to have my iPad pro with m1 but dishing out the big game just murders the battery so unless you have some sort of pro use like video editing or maybe raw photo editing… i don’t know. Save that 1200 on the m4 pro.

Upgraded phone and watch last year so no upgrades this year. Just hoping for an iPad mini with M ship in October. Or a new thinner Apple TV.

Why are common sense improvements on a laptop terrible?

Damn, must be you're happy with a simple 10% increase in speed every year.

Tim is only a successful CEO because Steve made it so. Apple would be near bankruptcy if Tim took over in 1997.

Sounds like your own personal wish list... Most in the general public probably don't care or need a lot of those features/items.... Apple is in the business of selling products to millions of general consumers... Not customizing computers for a few niche users.

"mush for brains Tim" lol... I'm sure you would do great as a CEO of a trillion dollar company.
Disagree.

First, how is the front facing camera better on my phone than on my laptop?
How has Face ID not been integrated? Why do I have to reach over to my laptop when using a second screen?
AMOLED on a "Pro" laptop seems like a no brainer.
Touch screen will never happen. It would undermine iPad - but iPad running MacOS optionally would be great.
5G has also seemed like a no brainer. Again, why not make it available for "pro's" and capture extra revenue?
Sure, the others seem optional, but any one of them make sense in a "Pro" machine.

I'll add, how about they fix "Home" to be worth a crap?
I guess Siri is getting an upgrade via ChatGPT but maybe as a secondary service after apple intelligence.
How about something in the home automation space?

Innovation has sucked over there and they have really become an "also ran" copying new features. Why did they even bother to release the Apple Vision? They can't give them away. I wouldn't care if they were taking wild swings, but their core services and platforms mostly suck.

Fix the basics first and get back to "It just works" and then innovate. I have never had such a huge problem with their ecosystem. Stuff is broken ALL THE TIME.
