I hate apple silicone case, I will never buy this again. The Silicone material will worn off after sometime and this will act like real rubber lol.

I’ve had the white silicone case for just over two weeks. No complaints! Super high quality Apple product. Great fit and feel. I love the grippy silky feel. No discoloring. It doesn’t collect major dust. I’m a huge fan of the bottom cutout because it shows off some of the band.

Why’d you go with it over leather?

The white and silver combo looks nice!

I’ve had both leather and silicone and prefer silicone because it’s more durable.

Yes sir, the white and silver combo rocks! A Little panda or stormtrooper action!

...I have an apple silicone case and I brought a 3rd party silicone case and it's the same exact quality. But the 3rd party cost me only $10 vs the $50 I spent on the apple version . The only difference is logo at the back.

The actual price for Apple silicone case for iPhone X is $39, not $50.

Even if the damage is from your user neglect or a drop?

I mean listen it's all going to come down to what looks wrong with the case, and of course who and how you speak to the person your dealing with.

If you have discoloration, which the new X ones are all going to have a lot of for the exception of the white, than yes they will most likely exchange it. If the case looks like it was dropped off a roof, well than I don't think that would fall under any sort of Warrenty coverage.

All my returns were based of either the bottom edges splinting off or cracking, or discoloration wear and tear that would be considered unexceptable for such a pricy case. Honestly never had an issue.

Depends where you live....

[doublepost=1511387668][/doublepost]Me, I'll likely get the Apple leather case as the silicone is too "grabby" when you go to put it in the inside pocket of a jacket.

When the warmer weather returns I can swap it back out again.

The downside to the Apple leather cases is that they're not all that durable...only get about a year out of them before they start bubbling up, fraying or cracking.

No, I was simply referencing the poster that said they experienced a cut in their case.

Now if it was user neglect or a drop, that’s different, but if it’s a quality issue they seem to be accommodating for exchanges for customers.

No disrespect to the OP, but are you sure it's an original apple case? My 7 Plus apple silicone case was pristine for the entire year that i had it.... absolutely nothing in terms of flaking, peeling or any of the wear n tear. They charge a bomb for this stuff but it's definitely top grade... and i would say most users would agree as well. I've seen wear n tear on people's cases but that's like after 2 years of use or just bad handling.

I would never put a case on the $1000 fashion icon that is iphone 10. You don't like fashion then get samsung.
Are you in high school trying to be liked and popular? In the rough and tough adult world, trying to impress others through shallow avenues like a cellphone, is not even on the maturity radar.

In my opinion, many people value themselves too much to relegate and demean their inner worth, by equating it to the price of a electronic device.

No disrespect...but did you read my entire post?

I've been using Apples silicone cases for the last few years. This thread is highlighting the fact that the silicone case for the X vs previous Apple silicone cases is not as well made and feels inferior. Yes basically I've used them on my 7plus and they stayed perfect through out the year for the most past. Read my full post, and yes all my cases are purchased at Apple ;)

Whoa Whoa Whoa... i meant to be very polite about the possibility of a fake case that you have have been sold. Hence the disclaimer "no disrespect". I didn't mean that be to be snarky or sarcastic.
I read your full post maybe when you first posted, it's just today that i replied with my thoughts. Yes, forums are supposed to be for that :Sharing thoughts.
Not sure why you'd want to respond the way you did with that heavy handed dollop of sarcasm..

Lol if you feel that was heavy handed and full of sarcasm you really need to visit here more often and see some of the remarks people throw out.

But yes to the full extent I highlighted specifically the iPhone X and how the cases for that phone are not made as good as previous materials used for other models.

Either way...Happy Thanksgiving.

Honestly the only colors that I would use on my phone after using quite a few over the last few weeks would be either the White or oddly enough Dark Olive. They have been the only colors that haven't had that shine that I'm seeing. The product red looks to be a different shade of the previous red used, and does indeed begin to show shine and finger print stains after a few days, not as bad as the black but very noticeable.

The midnight blue which I love, is basically as bad as the black.

The 2 colors that I've seen look brand new over the last few weeks with use are white (crazy) and the Olive. Those 2 can be wiped down with a damp paper towel and look as good as when they came out of the packaging. The white which I've used previously on my 7plus can be wiped down with an alcohol pad every month or so and it will stay looking new, the only thing with that color is it tends to look rubbery with time and use.

Either way, that's what I'm seeing so far.

I have the white silicone case and have had zero issues. No shine and it seems to be of great quality even going in and out of a side grip mount in the car.

Haven’t had any lint issues in the purse or pocket. Doesn’t seem to be any less quality that previous versions. My mom is using my old 6s+ with the original case and it STILL looks brand new. And I was not easy on that case in any way. I’m just as satisfied with my new silicone X case.

In fact I have bought four different cases since I got my launch day X, white silicone and berry folio Apple cases, and two spigen cases. I will rarely use the folio case, and I hated one of the minimal spigen cases. The white silicone is my daily go to.

Here are some quick picts of the Element Case Formula X

Btw, I dont know what that funky reflection coming off the Zagg screen protector. I think it is my iPad camera lens...

I got the Apple white silicone case.

It’s so velvety smooth and slim! I know it’s not the same as Apple Watch sports band but they feel very similar. The camera cut out is perfect with no extra gaps.

Will see how it holds up over time and if it gets dirty easily.

Good that the holiday return period is in effect and I have Jan 8 to return it.

it seems like the white silicone is the champion of holding up from wear

I have the white silicone and actually use it very little for fear it will get stained (jeans, etc.). Can anyone who has one chime in if they use it in their jeans?

The white is definitely the champ when it comes to wear and tear and just every day life. I've been using it for about a week now and it doesn't show one shine spot! The red, black, and midnight blue all show shine marks where your hand holds the phone. The dark olive is probably second behind the white.

I own a restaurant and the case has stood up to my every day craziness of using the phone all day, touching oven handles, handling food, etc etc. It's even been fine in the gym and I don't see any dirt marks so far. I wipe it down with a damp paper towel when I get home at night and that's kept it looking brand new. My brother in law used a white silicone on his 7plus and when I saw him Thanksgiving said it looked pretty much brand new for about the 6 months he used it until upgrading to the X.

Jeans? Well that may be the whites weakness. I've used clear cases and matte Frosted cases before and jeans would always be the killer because you can't get jean dye off a phone case. I can't comment on the white apple silicone as I honestly wear jeans maybe a hand full of times a year. I live in sweats, joggers, and sports shorts all year long (blessed...lol) and haven't had to test the waters with jeans. But if I had to guess, the jeans would probably stain the case to some extant.
