I’m disappointed in the grippyness of the silicone case. iPhone X by itself will literally stick to my fingers so strongly that I don’t need to grip it which makes using it more comfortable and intuitive. The silicone case is almost as slippery as the leather case to the point I always have to keep a solid grip on it.

That being said I do love the feel otherwise and the Dark Olive color is a gorgeous tone of gray.

The silicon cases have always been the same. After about 3 or 4 months they start to get a bit shiny on the corners. Happened on my 6, 7 plus, 8 plus and I imagine the X case will do the same. They all feel identical too.

They are dust magnets, but for some reason this effect seems to lessen after a while. I also think they are a lot more robust than the leather ones. Ive had the storm grey and saddle brown leather cases and they didn't hold up very well at all!

I got black one. I'm not a fan of bottom cutout otherwise I like the overall fit and finish of the Apple case.

Can you post pictures of the iPhone with case. I want to see how much bluk it adds.
Same here. I like the case, the feeling and the hand-grip but alway felt uncomfortable with the lower part cut-out. After some search I found an alternative from Ryokosy:

I have been more than satisfied with the various Apple silicone cases that I've had through the years on my iPhones. I find the leather ones to be a little too slippery, while the silicone has more grippiness. No problems with dust or shine because most of the time when I am going out with the phone in a case I also slip it into a microfibre sunglasses case, which protects everything from stuff in my purse or pockets. At home the iPhone X is naked. I have the Product Red and the Spicy Orange cases plus the black leather folio case, and so far all have been just fine. Older cases that I had for the iPhone 6 Plus and 7 Plus still look pristine, too -- no shininess, no stains or discoloration.

How is this case compared to the one by Apple? Does it have good grip and how are the buttons?

I am curious as well. I really like the sturdiness of the apple cases and the quality of the silicone they use, but the bottom cut out also annoys me. Does the sim card cut out on the Ryokosy bother you? I have been a cell phone user for almost 30 years and have never had a need to access my own sim card often enough to need a cut out in a case. Baffles me that they added that. I think this would be the perfect case for me without that cut out. Just seems like another way for dirt and lint to get into the case.

The power and volume buttons are similar to the ones in the apple silicone cases , yet the shape of the silent button cut-out is slightly different.

I also was hoping they didn't add this cut-out or at least provided this as a standalone "traveler" version. I don't actually change my sim card that often so it is not meant for me but it maybe of good use for frequent travelers.

I really like how the case protects the 4 sides of my iPhone tho.
