Yeah definitely agree, 3ft cable is way too short. I've needed to get the Apple iPad 10W USB Power Adapter, which charges the iPhone too, has a lot of my power points were just too far away. But thats probably the reason why Apple just give 3ft cables, then people will need to buy another longer length one

well i obviously see it different. to put it right side down in my pocket i feel i have to twist my wrist which to me is worse than changing my grip which one would have to do anyway if it was a tight pocket.

still that dosent answer the bigger point which is the cord length you would lose. apple obviously dosent like cords and if they supply them to do you its on the short side.

wasnt it the ibook that had the usb port on the left side so most of the cord for the mouse would be spent on getting the mouse to the right side of the computer?
