not shocking apple can not keep our data and information private or protected they simply are strong enough for the power they have

🤦‍♂️

i bet you knew that Microsoft, Tesla, Adobe, Elon Musks personal Twitter account, etc etc got involved in this Twitter scenario but oh no Apple only gets the blame

...

I wonder if Apple had 2FA turned on for their Twitter account. It doesn’t sound like it.

They do. Verified accounts are required to on Twitter as of a couple years ago.

This is a hack of Twitter itself.

Does this mean that I will not get double my money back :) ?
send it to me and I’ll double you money I’m 14 days. if You want it back, great. If you want to triple the doubled money, I’ll do that in another 21 ways. If you want to quadruple the tripled money I doubled, you would have to wait 28 days after that.

here is the scheme:

You: $1000

//14 days//

Me: $2000 return

If you keep $2000, end of game. If you keep money with me ...

Me: $2000

//21 days later//

Me: $6000

If you keep $6000, end of game. If you keep money with me ...

Me: $6000

// 28 days later //

Me: $24,000

Total Time: 14+21+28 = 63 days (just over 2 months).

This is a secret method used by the rich people like Cook, Gates, Bezos, etc.. This offer is only for you.

Kindly send the money ASAP via account transfer.

Seems it may have been a 3rd party app they use, which allows API access, which was compromised. For instance, compromise Hootsuite and you can then tweet from any account connected with it.

CNN and others have already reported on it.

Looks like Twitter is now acting to lock this down. Tweets from many of these accounts are not showing at all on the platform.

They've hacked the accounts of MANY of the biggest tech companies out there. Verified accounts require 2-factor authentication to be turned on, so it's incredibly unlikely that someone was able to get the password and the 2-factor for all these accounts. It's almost certain someone compromised Twitter itself.
I’ve read that Twitter only supports SMS codes, not real 2FA. If so, accounts be an be compromised by redirecting the phone number they’re registered to.

This would require redirecting dozens, if not hundreds of phone numbers with numerous carriers. That's incredibly unlikely to be what happened here.

Chances are they all use a 3rd party tool like Hootsuite and someone compromised Hootsuite and then has API access to any account connected to it, or they compromised Twitter directly.

But how? I thought Apple had the best security ever!
I hope this doesn't impact the stock price!
This has nothing to do with Apple security.

Twitter supports OTP. I used OTP Auth for the codes. I used to have that as part of my 2FA when I had an account.
