I hate it when people say Apple is doomed.
It shows that people use their iPhone a lot more then people with other OS based phones. And why is that, maybe because the interface is easier?
How far will Androids market share drop when Samsung releases its Tizen OS on their smartphones and tablets later this year.
I like mac's too, who cares about market share.
Market share means nothing to someone that is not emotionally attached to a brand that they have nothing to do with other than owing their product(s). Might as well be measuring organ's (not the musical kind).
but, but, but, the price of shares are falling!
Apple is DOOOOOoooommmeed!
/sarcasm
The problem is more with people who start cursing and screaming and insulting everyone who doesn't agree with them, and those people exist on both sides.
It's not doomed but this chart does not tell much one way or another. US is a relatively small piece of the global smart phone market and Apple was much less successful in other parts of the World.
Also my Lumia is better than the iPhone![]()

This is great news, but how does it reconcile with other reports in the media that iPhone market share is dropping. What's the difference between the reports? Such as this one, "Apple bleeding marketshare"
Usually when I read someone say "Apple is Doomed" it a defender of Apple trying to to make fun of people who are critical of Apple in any way.I hate it when people say Apple is doomed.

"iPhone/iPad marketshare may drop" does not equal "Apple is doomed"
Read the first paragraph of the article in BGR. "quarterly shipment estimates".
I am surprised to see BB go down even after the advent of BB10 and the new range...
Same here. BB10 and the new handsets were supposed to light up the world. Instead they've been greeted with as much interest as the PlayBook. Now the Q10 is out and BB and their supporters up here are crowing about how everyone was just waiting for a mechanical keyboard. I think not. A few yes, but not many. This week CEO of BB was talking to Bloomberg about how "In five years, I see BlackBerry to be the absolute leader in mobile computing". ROFL. Then he went on to say how tablets would be dead in the same period. ROFLexp2. BB will be lucky to still exist in 5 years.

Why, you own apple or something?
I don't understand getting that attached to any company I do not own or own a bunch of stock in.
There is no "choosing Samsung over iOS" at the moment because iOS devices are still pending approval and will likely be approved soon. The only thing Samsung has done is get into the game a little earlier than Apple and the reasons why they got approved first are not clear.Wonder if Apple are upset with the US Army choosing a secure version of Android running on Samsung phones over an iOS device for it's troops?

It's part about being grateful to the company for making our lives so much better and wanting to defend them.
I dunno if Apple's made my life better exactly. The iPhone and iPad are neat devices, sure. I'm a little more connected to the internet these days. I certainly don't have to carry around quite as much stuff...
But is my life better because of it? I dunno.
and we can't forget the "shipped not sold" distinction.
while Apple sells every single iPhone it ever ships, the vast majority of Android phones are just sitting in warehouses, gathering dust.
