Apple's Ultra-Slim 12-Inch Notebook Coming in Mid-2015 With Silver, Gold, and Space Gray Options?

It does seem like gold is one of those colours which is only really gonna work on the iPhones and iPads (maybe iPods too?) but probably isn't appropriate for a desktop computer or laptop.
I always love special edition or otherwise rare colors of products. The N64 and iMac G3 are the best examples I can think of. There was also the super rare red 2013 Mac Pro.
Wow, it's like the "Gold iPhone 5s" rumours all over again.
As a reminder, that actually happened, and the general consensus was that it looked rather classy (and not the tacky bling-type gold people were imagining). It also sold really well, including in Western Europe and the USA.
So yeah, don't see any reason why this wouldn't happen to the MacBook too...
Tapping does cut it. I started getting into the habit of tapping a few years ago and now it is second nature and much more efficient.

My brother spray-painted one of my Gateway FreeBSD machines gold... It didn't look good, but I can imagine that a golden MacBook Air would look cool. That is, not fully gold but metallic-looking "brushed gold".
I wonder if this and the iPad Pro are the same rumors, just interpreted differently.
My guess is, we see the iPad Pro rather than a 12" Notebook. Wouldn't surprise me to see the MBA and MBP get facelifts though.

It's time for laptops to get the same level of attention. IF you can put a full HD display on a 5.5" screen, at least give us 4k on a 12" MBAir.
Intel sucks? I don't care. Inevest on SoC like you (apple) did for iOS devices. Passwords also suck on a computer, where's touch ID? Where's LTE on laptops?

That makes sense. People wear gold watches. A gold laptop will just look ridiculous.
