How is this 12" notebook going to fit into the rest of the current MBA lineup? I just can't see this co-existing around a 11" MBA, 13" MBA and 13" MBPs. There's likely going to be a shake up in the overall notebook portfolio.

I could easily see Apple eventually phasing out the other two MBAs in favor of a single 12" Retina MBA, which is a sorta best of both worlds solution. It'd streamline their laptop lineup, and in fit perfectly alongside the MBPs without any overlap. You can get a 12" Retina MBA for $1000, or jump up $300 and go for the entry level rMBP, if you need a little more oomph from your computer.

Do people think the 12" will be 16:9 like the 11" or 16:10 like the 13"?

I think 16:10 is the sweet spot for laptop displays.

Stalker fail. You really are bad at this. Go through my posts a 4th time, maybe you'll finally find it. God knows you have the free time. :D

When you're not defending racism, you're failing at being a creepy stalker. Back to stalker school for you, I guess.

I feel like we're having difficulty reading between the lines (subtlety is key here), because again, nice try but nuh-uhhhhh nope. Sorry but I don't feel like wasting time beyond what I saw. Not much came up, which makes sense since you're a new member. So I guess we'll just be stuck in this holding pattern - and it's okay!

Also, how am I defending racism? By engaging in must-have-last-say with someone else who also must-have-last-say? I must have hit a nerve there. Oops.

IMO there's a chance this 12" MBA (or whatever it's going to be branded) could be 16:10. Maintain roughly the same physical footprint of the existing 11" MBA, but reduce the bezels by switching to 16:10. I realize there's not much room to work with on that already very-thin lid display... but there's just an awful lot of space above and (especially) below the existing 11" display.

We'll find out soon I guess. Especially once parts start leaking out en masse.
