It's racist to feature an interracial couple? That's the most backwards thing I've ever heard.
It's not 1 interracial couple. Black couples are almost entirely excluded from Apple's ads. Apparently, they don't exist in Apple's world. And yes, the total exclusion of black couples has become insanely racist.
If a black male is featured in an Apple ad, he needs to have his arms wrapped around a white woman. I guess a black couple is just "too black" for Apple. Or maybe the message is that black males are only legitimized when in the company of whites (white females, specifically).
Don't kid yourself. NOTHING in modern advertising is an "accident". Every last detail is scrutinized. There is a very real reason Apple decides to show all of it's black males with white women.
Thanks, but we already know what Stormfront members think.
Oh good, slimmer. Everyone keeps asking for slimmer and not more power/battery...
Is it some weird space-time continuum thing going on that means for every percent Jony Ive gets fatter his devices have to get slimmer?
Gotta love Apple and their interracial relationship ads. Somebody over there really has a fetish for that ****.
Don't think I've ever once seen a black couple in an Apple ad. It's becoming overtly racist at this point.
Someone doesn't know what racism is. And besides, who says they're a couple?

Surely this is going to replace the entire current MacBook Air line.
It seems ridiculous that they would simultaneously stock 11", 12" and 13" versions of the MacBook Air, with the 12" in multiple colours. I predict the 11" and 13" will be sailing into the sunset (although maybe not immediately on launch)
Also, I think that the 13" Air currently cannibalises sales of the 13" MacBook Pro. I for one bought the 13" Air over the 13" Pro a few years back as it seemed fine for my needs at the time. Had there just been a 12" though I'd have probably deemed it too small.
But isn't the Safari, email, word processing, Facebook group the majority of users?
Apple making a failed product that they've dismissed many times as "a solution looking for a problem"?Touch screen laptop...
That's not going to stop Apple.
I was thinking, of a different approach then MS did with Surface. I agree Surface hasn't been a huge success. But I think apple can do it better.
Instead of the blended software, "one OS to rule all devices approach"I was thinking Apple could offer two distinct experiences with this new product.
The Surface needs to be become competition for Apple to consider it a threat.
Whilst the Surface is a nice bit of kit, it really doesn't need to exist. Microsoft need to get used to the idea of what a tablet is, if you need a surface for your tablet needs then just get an ultrabook.
Apparently, that someone is you. And yeah, I'm sure Apple was attempting to portray them as brother and sister.
Excluding black couples or groups of African Americans in Apple ads has become overtly racist. In order for black males to be shown in an Apple ad, they need to be surrounded by caucasians, or have their arms draped over a caucasian female. And black females? Forget about it. They're lucky if they are shown at all. And when they are shown, they are usually alone.
God forbid two African Americans are shown together! That would be "too black" for Apple.
In the real world (come visit sometime) African Americans occasionally date each other. I know it might sound crazy to a caucasian Apple fan, but it actually happens from time to time. It would be nice if Apple wasn't so terrified of representing that in their ads.
How do I use an ultrabook without the keyboard to jot down notes and sketch diagrams using a stylus?
How many times are you going to bring this up? And how about couples from a mix of other racial groups, as well?
The reason it gets brought up so often is because Apple goes to this particular well over and over and over again. It's not an occasional thing with them. They make a deliberate effort to use black males with caucasian females in an astonishing number of their ads. It's gone way beyond representing reality and has veered into fetish at this point.
Even in group shots, the black males are sandwiched between caucasians. As if even touching another african american is "too black" for Apple. It's pretty vile stuff when you study it. And yes, ad agencies discuss details like that before submitting their work. I know all too well.
No other company is as overtly racist with their advertising as it relates to their refusal to show black couples or black families as Apple. I remember a recent Thanksgiving ad from Apple where they showed a black family having thanksgiving dinner together... wait for it... at a white family's home. That's right, they can't even enjoy Thanksgiving without white people to make them more palatable to uptight, closet racists.
I, along with many others, commented on how ridiculous that ad was. Guess you missed that one while creepily stalking my post history.![]()
This is pretty off topic so I don't wan't to spend too much time on this. I just disagree completely. Apple spends a lot of time promoting its own diversity. I don't see why they wouldn't want to promote it in their advertisements. Interracial couples exist, Apple likes to feature them in ads. It's not 1 interracial couple. That viewpoint is at best cynical, and at worst racist in itself.

Tough Guy, you are obviously mentally ill. I, too, looked back at your posts and it seems as if all you do is complain, dislike, or troll. I sincerely hope you get the help that you so obviously need.
That viewpoint is at best cynical, and at worst racist in itself.
Believe it or not, black couples also exist (at a far higher rate than "interracial couples") yet Apple does not like to feature them in ads.
You tell me why that is. I think we all know the reason.
The exclusion of black couples... or black families... or black friends is not "diversity". It's exclusion. Deliberate exclusion.

Apple's skewed and perverse use of race in advertising is pretty well-known. You'd have to be mentally ill to not have noticed it by now.
And speaking of mental illness, stalking a user's profile on a message board just might be symptom #1.

In your world, calling out racism is "racist"? I gotta laugh at that. I really do.
Listen, Apple is excluding african american couples from its ads. Point blank. There is no denying that. There *might* be 1 black couple for every 10 mixed (black male/white female) couple shown in Apple ads. We know why. It's become blatant and offensive at this point.
This doesn't reflect reality. It reflects Apple's desire to not seem "too black". Either that, or the guys running the ad campaigns have an interracial porn fetish.
Sorry, I don't see an issue with using interracial couples even if it's disproportionate to real life statistics. Interracial couples exist, they're awesome, and Apple seems to agree.
