I'm glad I did not buy m4 mini.

There doesn't appear to be a non Pro M5 Mini, so ...

I think the M4 Mac Mini has turned into one of the classic "we offered too much value for the price" situations that happens with Apple from time to time.

It looks like they'll "fix that" that in M5 gen.

Wow.. I didn't think the Mac Pro was a thing anymore. I still fondly remember my cheese grater dual Xeon powered MP. Then it was left to stagnate for so long that I completely pushed it out of my periphery.

The mystery is why didn't Mac Pro get M3 Ultra when the Mac Studio did. It's either dead or it's in line for the Apple silicon equivalent of Xeon W (server repurposed for workstation). There's a solid rumor that the silicon is codenamed "Hidra" and will be announced later this summer.

The 2019 Pro Display XDR is about to finally get serious competition from LG and others, which means it's time for a refresh -- waiting until next year is possible, but unless Apple is going to 8K ProMotion (120Hz) with it, why wait?!

That is what they should do. No case, motherboard, and power supply is worth a $3,000 difference between same hardware. Which was what the Mac Studio and Mac Pro was when they were both M2 Ultra. NO differences other than what I mentioned. And that certainly is NOT worth the price difference. PCIe slots are just not worth $3,000 more.

where is my 12” MacBook mini with a kickarse apple chip in it. They finally have the solution to nail this format and still haven’t done it.

They should release all models together. When they release mac mini with m5 chip now and then macbook air with m5 chip at march, macbook air feels old.
They do that on purpose.

They want you to buy the more expensive (Pro) MacBook.

If you want to buy the Air, they make you wait, and you don't even feel good about purchasing it since you're basically 6 months away from a new M-series chip being released by the time you buy it.

I wish Apple would introduce a new large screen iMac. Give us something to get excited about. Boxes, monitors and cables are for Dell and HP!

The update that I would like to see: 30 inch iMac with the same microprocessor and memory options as a MacBook Pro.

I am still using my 27 inch iMac. Several associates are also using five to ten year old 27 inch iMacs. Why? The large screen iMac is the perfect executive computer. It has a nice sleek, clean appearance and fits nicely on a desk. There isn't a bunch of cables messing up the desk or inviting someone to trip on. Part of the magic of Apple is esthetics. The Mac mini is not about esthetics - it is all about a box you can toss somewhere. I left Dell because I liked the power and clean design of Apple’s large screen all in one iMac.

The Mac Studio or Mac mini with a Studio display is overpriced and is the wrong form factor for me. By eliminating the large screen iMac Apple has killed my reason for buying a second computer.

If I am going to be stuck with a box and cables, I will just use my existing Macbook Pro 16 and have the same mess of cables as a Mac Mini or Mac studio.

For some a basic 24 inch iMac is fine. Unfortunately, Apple Silicon hasn’t been good to me. The larger screen iMac may not be a hot seller but I know a bunch of people who have yet to switch to Apple silicon because they like their large screen iMacs.

"If I am going to be stuck with a box and cables ... the same mess of cables as a Mac Mini or Mac studio.".. It's a power cable from the monitor to the electrical socket, it's a power cable from the computer to the electrical socket, it's a monitor cable from the monitor to the computer. It's three cables, not a server room's worth of cable mess.
