This guy has to be one of my favourite directors. The humour right up my alley. "Hi, I'm Oscar losing director Taika Watit" lol

As important as the director is who is writing this? I guess, unfortunately, it can't be Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin; Gilliam would surely want to direct it. I hope it's not Messrs Cook, Federighi & Ives. Though the hair and make-up would be top. :)

don't ruin a classic please, thats all i ask.

Gilliam is a fantastic filmmaker and not afraid to give his films some significant edge. Expect a polished and watered down tv-adaptation... Parents explode, firemen doesn't give a ****, camera pulls back into space... you are alone in the universe. I love the movie, but that's not going to happen in Carpool Karaoke-Land.

As someone who just recently watched "Hunt for the Wilder People" and absolutely loved every minute of it, and who just so happens to think "Thor Ragnarok" is one of marvels funnest and most enjoyable film to date, maybe just behind GoTG 1 & 2.

Taika Waititi is pure comedy genius, and this might be the first thing that I might actually look forward to from Apple Entertainment.

Sure wish the movie industry - even the newest studios - would let go of the obsession with remakes. People are out there writing scripts all the time. Surely there's something worth making. Something we haven't seen before.

This is a very common lament. However, the more I think about, the more I am reconsidering. I am a huge fan of classical literature, mythology, etc., and it occurred to me that most myths crossed over, were repackaged, reordered, reinserted all the time. I don't believe that there are limited number of stories, but I do believe that it is nothing new (and probably not as problematic as we think) to see narratives being remade, recast (not only regarding talent), or reshaped. I am all for creativity, original ideas, non-exploitive works, but I am not sure the problem is simply the reboot or the remake.

I am excited to see Time Bandits being developed. Time will tell if it should be preserved moving forward.

Finally, I don't believe the video here is the Trailer for Time Bandits. It appears to simply be a sequence or scene from the movie. As for me, I think I'll dig out my old copy of the movie and watch it again.

Cheers
