What issues are you having? Keyboard interaction works, button elements are used and they're labeled correctly.

A lot of the basics are in place correctly but I've run it through a couple of our tools we use for accessibility audits and it's failing on quite a few things. The major ones being color contrasts and there is more on the subpages where some of the designs are not accessibility-friendly so devs made a few shortcuts. You see many issues even on quick check tools such as https://wave.webaim.org/ if you go through the pages.

never surpasses its peak in 2011 era.

Losing both SJ and Scott Forstall is the most unfortunate thing to Apple
Scott Forstall was fired due to the failed launch of Apple Maps. And if he wasn’t fired, we would probably still be using iOS with an interface from iOS 6. 😂

Noticed some ppl disagreeing with my post. This was entirely a joke, everyone. Obviously even if Scott Forstall was still around I imagine the iOS 6 look wouldn’t have stayed.

That makes sense. The icons made no sense if you have no idea what you are after. And if you do you google it and go straight to the page anyway.

Probably not. :) Probably more like: we would be using an interface that was incrementally added to and honed on "what just works" as developed by decades of human interface learning. Instead we're now working on an interface that's slowly and incrementally reversed/removed some of the more egregious spaghetti-on-the-wall reinventions that Jony Jive force-introduced back in 2013. :p

I remember the Verge article titled It’s always 73 and sunny in Cupertino. That came out the year iPhone 5 was introduced.

I’m nitpicking, but this is modern Apple in a nutshell.

Agreed! I also miss the streamlined product lineup. It's good to have choices, but I find it very confusing nowadays. Too many "Plus" "Max" "Ultra", "Pro", Air", "SE"...
Chief product strategist (probably): So Tim, how many segments do you want to divide our offerings into this year?
Tim: Yes.

Looks stupid on my iPhone.
What’s with those vertical white bars? And if you zoom into remove them you lose the store and the Apple icons.
🤣🤣

Just checked out that page on my 12 mini. 18 swipes to get to the bottom of the page while seeing what the page had to offer.

Any webpage requiring more than 10 finger swipes to assess what's on the page is too much for a small mobile screen, IMHO.

it's funny to hear complaints of gingerbread like green felt & woodgrain but so little about the fancy animation acrobatics gingerbread that are more show-off flash than ultimately helpful, even if it did help keep some designer happily busy for a few weeks.

24 swipes to get to the bottom of the Mac mini page, without huge sweeping swipes. As bad as shortening text 'buttons' with ... ellipses so that you can't even decipher what the text is trying to say.
