I suspect Apple will aggressively try to remove all lightning options in the line up, and focus on USB C going forward.
Thank god.

Selling my airpod pros today (v1) can finally pick up v2 with USB C.

Once I get the wife off a couple more products, that's it, we're finally rid of lightning in the damn house.

A USB-C AirPods Pro case & the USB-C Pro Thunderbolt cable would come in handy when I go to get the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra).

Though I might go for Anker’s variant of the latter, depending on how things go. And I’m wondering if the USB-C AirPods Pro case would be compatible with the 2nd generation of the AirPods Pro.

That's true. But not for AirPods Pro. They know people who can afford Pro will just buy a whole new USB-C version altogether (with the earphones as well).

And so that's even more money for them.

Thank god.

These. It’s also good for people like myself who are just getting into iPhones/iOS. Why go backwards with Lightning when we can move forward with USB-C?

Especially in my case, as I’m coming from the OG Samsung Galaxy S8.

So they sell expensive USB-C cables, but non-pro iPhones only get USB 2.0, which came when many forum members were not even born yet. That was seven years before the iPhone without a number was released. USB 2.0 is so slow, that on notebook you only use it for a cabled mousse or maybe a USB powered fan.
Hey don't say that!
I am using USB 2.0 to run a whole Windows system, even better than the internal drive.
Of course that was Windows XP and it was back in 2002-3, but whatever. :)

I bet this is not going to happen.

They don't sell separate replacement case for AirPods Pro now.

Why would they do this now? Out of a good heart? To help their customers save some money? To save the environment as they claim? Naaah. We're talking about Apple.
They sold the case separately for the AirPods Pro 1 MagSafe case update so I’m sure they will. Don’t expect a huge bargain though.
