Pardon my language, but goddamn, that was a good post.

Agreed! Thanks for bringing out the big picture perspective. I got tired of arguing details with him.

Just a moment ago...

Beautiful! Nice job!

What camera are you using? That's a fantastic photo.

I know you probably didn't mean it this way, but can't help but read it as "Nice shot! You must have a nice camera!" ;)

I have to admit, I'm curious what camera and settings myself. ISO is turned up, so perhaps no tripod.

If I had only delayed my trip to SF by 2 weeks, I could've gotten that shot. DOH!

Thanks. I spend too much time thinking about this stuff.

Details are important too, of course, and it's OK to have differing views on this stuff, but without looking at the macro scale it's easy to get lost.

I find, whenever a discussion point seems to not be moving along, when no progress is being made in getting a clearer understanding, it's usually because we've lost sight of what it is we're really talking about. When that happens it helps to take an overview of things - often times you'll find out you weren't really disagreeing at all!

View from Flyover Maps

Is anyone here a developer that can see the "flyover" version of Maps in iOS 6?

here is Bing's bird's eye of Yerba Buena. Tomorrow, they will have an updated satellite image of the center and you'll see the much debated icons in their glory.

It's for people on the roof

It would look just about right if you were leaning over the edge while standing on the roof.

YOUR COMEBACK WAS LAME AND BORING... So lets get back to talking about long iPhones ...lolol

Sure, no problem.

Lesson 1.

L x W = A

If L increases, A increases.

Therefore, an increase in L means A is larger assuming no change in W.

Longer is larger.

NO! larger implies a proportional increase... if only L is longer hen apple should say "we made the screen longer" but they dont want to cause they know its lame as hell..

No. No such definition of that word exists. It's like you stopped at 5th grade or something. I'm done with this.

So what was the final take on this? I did not see anything in the keynote that explains the flags...

yeah you need to be done cause you sound as lame as apple only increasing one dimension and saying its bigger no its longer..

Haha, still missing that elementary math I see.

In the meantime, my new LARGER iPhone 5 is on its way and will arrive on Friday. It'll be interesting to see how the LARGER iPhone feels in my hand. :D
