While AppleTV is being positioned as a HomeKit hub, central to your home in controlling all other HomeKit devices, it's strange that it's been left out as a HomeKit device itself. Shouldn't the AppleTV be able to be triggered by HomeKit automation?

For example, arrive home, your door unlocks, lights turn on, AC sets the correct temperature and your AppleTV starts playing Beats 1.

Another: Say "Goodnight Siri", your lights turn off, your AC sets to your favourite sleeping temperature, and your AppleTV turns off the TV.

Perhaps they'll get to this in tvOS 11 but it seems like such a glaring omission right now.

I know there was a rumor that Apple was working on an Amazon Echo type device. That's what I was honestly hoping for with the Apple TV 4. If they don't do something soon I'll probably just get an Echo...
