Anyone know about or a place to learn about upcoming app development plans for the professional market?
For instance - knowing that Adobe will lunch the photoshop sometime next year...

Good question. Where are the pro apps for iPad Pro? Would love to use Logic Pro x on the new Pro.

There is this website called MacRumors.com that has an iOS only news section that usually posts information about Adobe apps such as Lightroom and now Photoshop, as well as other profesional apps like Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, Procreate, Pixelmator Pro, and development apps like Coda. They've also posted some professional audio apps over the years but I don't know them off the top of my head since I don't use them. But your best bet if you want a consistent stream of updates about upcoming betas, new features, etc from these companies then you should bookmark or subscribe to their blog's RSS feed, subscribe to their email updates, or follow them on social media. That's what I do for several.

Things I am hoping for on the iPad from Apple next year:

    Xcode
    Final Cut Pro
    Logic Pro
A new Aperture (This one is a super long shot, but Photos just isn't going to cut it once the iPad supports external disks.)

Given Marzipan exists, I expect a lot more iOS-first development is going to be happening internally, and the Mac is going to be getting ports of iOS apps.

Right now the apps for iPad Pro seem to be tuned towards creative professionals and content creators. Really hope to see pro apps for scientific work, programming, analytics and machine learning in the future.
