Sleep Cycle has been updated. It had a snooze bug for iOS 7 before the update so hopefully that's fixed.

It reverted back to the old glossy icon, though. New UI looks really nice, I like the dark theme on the clock dial.

I had a fangasm with the new Foursquare, Twitter and Facebook updates. Was hoping for WhatsApp to (use my mockup) update today but seems like will have to wait months like with their iPhone 5 support. That thing looks hideous using iOS 7.

They fixed the sound notifications btw. Don't know if you knew this or if this is what you mean. But you just go into your FB app into notification settings, look at the top and make sure it is set to on.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have messed with those settings, FB notifications just don't seem to like me.

Grand total of 16 app updates yesterday and 21 app updates today. Wonder what tomorrow has in store.

So 2 days ago I posted my predictions on apps that will be updated for iOS 7...here are the apps that got updated

  • Facebook (Updated)
  • Twitter (Updated)
  • Facebook Messenger (Updated but not for iOS 7)
  • Spotify (No)
  • TuneIn Radio (Updated)
  • Twitterific (Updated)
  • Every Apple app (Only 3 apps)
  • Instagram (Nope)
  • Foursquare (Updated)
  • Soundhound (Nada)
  • Skype (Updated but not for iOS 7)
  • Dropbox (Updated but not for iOS 7....to my surprise)
  • Kik Messenger (Nein)
  • Mailbox (Updated)

Dropbox is flat already but yeah it will need some new iOS 7 design tweaks

Edovia decided to drop Screens 2 from the App Store and declare it "end of life".

They've released iOS 7 Screens 3 as a "paid upgrade" at $20/£14.

Thanks Edovia.

Waze didn't update - disappointed

I was looking forward to Waze updating as well as all the apps everyone is waiting, such as Instagram and FB Messenger. But I am sure Facebook is working on optimizing them as we speak.

But Waze, I am disappointed in you.

Waze is owned by Google. I doubt they are in a hurry to update their apps.

Considering how long it took them to simply adjust the resolution when the iPhone 5 came out, I have no hopes for a soon update. Whatsapp developers must be the laziest in the world and I would happily use some other app but all the people I communicate with are on whatsapp :(

I'm surprised Instagram still haven't released an update.

no idea, maybe a redesign is in the works and its simply not ready yet to be released just like the major twitter redesign app wont be out for a couple weeks or months.

Tumblr has been updated. No flattened UI, still using iOS 6 keyboard and still had a shiny icon (bleugh).

So there is a difference between running updates to fix bugs in iOS 7, and redesigning the App to use new API's and generally not suck.

I'm surprised there haven't been more true updates, and I wonder if Apple is trying to spread them out since their servers are under so much pressure right now.

This feels like the day after Christmas. Maybe you'll get another present or two in the near future from people you didn't see on Christmas Day. But essentially, all the unwrapping is done. :)
