Skeuomorphism still alive and well in iOS7. Apple, think of the trees!!!

probably will get removed once they release iBooks for mavericks.

would assume both UI's would be similar. iBooks for iOS doesn't even say its iOS 7 compatible yet.

iBooks is not part of iOS. It's a separate app and Apple hasn't updated it yet.

Maybe tweetbot and Instagram put out those small updates to prepare for the bigger one...? That's what I'm hoping for....Also iirc Whatsapp got a small update recently and maybe that was also in preparation for full iOS7 update :D one can hope...

Per the developer, an iOS 7 inspired tweetbot is in the works, but I wouldn't expect it soon. That's fine with me, I jut want them to take their time and get it right.

I searched but can't find the answer. Anyone know if Kobo Books works on iPad 2 running iOS 7? I want to update my my fiance's iPad and she would kill me if it kills her books.

so i went to look at the weather channel apps and now it says supports iOS 7 but the apps themselves have not been updated in awhile. its like they just added it to the description.. lies

The app has been submitted and is in review but not released into the App Store yet. The description is updated but the app is being review until released into the App Store. Got it?

Why would the description be updated before the related version of the app is approved/released?

Perhaps it does support iOS 7, but they didn't want to publicize that (for whatever reason) until iOS 7 was released (or at least until iOS 7 GM was released) and they could confirm it for sure and then publicize it.

That's what it looks like to me and I don't know why they would do that.
That might not be the case as well. But, if that is in fact the case, then that's not right and hopefully will be fixed to be in sync with the actual available version.

The CNBC stock app was updated today, but it isn't for iOS 7.... just a redesign for iOS 6.... I guess we still have to wait.

Apple still hasn't updated any of its apps that most people care about :(
I think some people care about those. And it's more than likely that Apple will do it much sooner than later.

Sorry, I meant it wasn't designed for iOS 7. It has a flat icon now, but the design doesn't include the unified toolbar or anything.
I see what you are saying. Thinking about it I'm not sure if every iOS 7 app would really need to use everything offered by iOS 7--they can still be compatible with iOS 7 and even use various elements of the functionality and maybe even design, but perhaps not everything.

The app icon isn't flat, uses old keyboard and UI, so nothing ios7 about it to me  and was last updated in like July, the iPhone one at least.

The icon isn't flat because it has not been released to the App Store yet but the description did.
The description (of The Weather Channel app) simply says it supports iOS 7. That basically means it's compatible with it, as in it should work without any issues. It doesn't mean it uses (or has to use) iOS 7 design or anything like that.

Gotcha thanks for clearing that up.

but they just added that it supports iOS 7 out of the blue no app update or anything. i know for a fact that they added it to the description only a couple hours ago and the app was released back on september 13th for ipad and as far back as july for the iphone. something does not seem right. hope there is a update with true iOS 7 support.

I wish they'd update us. "Hey guys, we know we're running behind, but we are working on something... promise! We'll be ready withing a few days... or next week, or next month."

Anything..

agreed if i had to guess the release it would probably be in october.
