Holy sith. Sounds like the MSN hell all over again. What is this, the 90s?

----------

Hey developers: If you don't use iOS7 status bar or keyboard APIs: Don't ****ing put "iOS7 compatibility" in your release notes.

Actually in my country more people are using Whatsapp. It's free and easy to use, don't have to worry about carrier plans. For people with a dumb phone, they buy an iPod touch so it's almost an iPhone, but not as expensive as.

If whatsapp is the 90s, the stock message app is pre-ww2 ;)

Looks like Sync.ME was updated recently with an iOS 7 type of design.

Movies by Flixter was just updated with a new design today.

Never? The gmail app doesn't download messages, it shows you a webview of them. That's why it doesn't work when you don't have signal.

Actually, it displays a local webview. The data isn't downloaded as a webview itself. It's a common misconception. And it does support caching. But since you get the notification before it downloads the message, it will not work if you get the notification and then try to open the app when you don't have a good connection. Hopefully with the new background app support, Google will support it and actually cache new messages in the background before the notification.

Been having problems with the latest Facebook update.

The app was updated in the first days of iOS 7, but it didn't really change. It's still the same for me - no buttons on the bottom for messages, notifications, etc, like I saw on other iPhones (and like I can see in the app description in the App Store). There's no way to update it again, and I even tried to delete and install it again, but that also didn't change anything.

Did anyone encounter the same problem?

LinkedIn received an iOS7 update today.
I think today was just a bugfix release and the iOS 7 design related one was about a week ago.

Is it still with an iOS 7 type of design now (even without navigation buttons at the bottom)?

Then you still have the new/updated version. Some people have navigation buttons at the bottom and some still have them at the top--it was like that in the previous Facebook version (in iOS 6 and earlier) as well. Facebook is always running various tests on features and design, so sometimes there are groups of people that will see something different than others.

So sad. Almost a month later and still no updates for some big apps. Sigh.

Only given a few months to update your app is not feasible for some companies. And some companies may be waiting to see how it all shakes out. While many companies updated using the iOS 7 standard look and feel, developers will always push it forward. And just because Apple updated their stock apps to a certain look and feel does not mean all apps must use that same UI.

You're right, I understand. But some off Apple's own apps haven't been updated. iBooks & Podcasts are 2 examples.

I know it's a first works problem. Just kinda bummed out lol.

Netflix updated for iOS 7. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to airplay from my 5S to Apple TV 2.
