apple always rejects popular apps before final approving, like several google apps tweet bot and now whatsapp

is this a way to attract publicity on their end? to steal the other guys thunder? either way they are turds sometimes
It is to ensure compliance with app store rules and to protect consumers against QA issues vendors may not have checked against. Turds.

uhm so the 5S is your first iPhone i presume? because Apple have approved malware apps, apps that violate their terms for years, apps that do bad stuff, yes and they end up getting rejected after their 5 minutes of fame, this shows they sometimes are lazy when it comes to app approval

I just find if funny that high profile apps always get rejected, like 90% of the google apps, tweetbot for iOS 7 and now Whatsapp, you aren't being a douche when one critizes Apple, it's ok to do it you know...

Well I'm sure loads of other low profile apps get rejected too we just don't hear about them. We only hear about them rejections because... Well... They're high profile haha.

I wouldn't know about developing for the App Store but it's probably common process to get your app rejected after a major update.

That, plus the likelyhood that the more popular apps, which get used by more people, go through somewhat more scrutiny during review at least simply because many more people use them and Apple wants to be extra careful about them.

Who needs whatsapp. Viber is better by miles. :)

Not really, I prefer Whatsapp over Viber but I have to say if they don't add some serious features to the app only the iOS 7 design in all this time they are the most lazy developers ever.

...and Viber it's blocked by some "stupid/retarded" network carriers (ex. Vodafone RO) so you have to use it only on wi-fi.

Another alleged WhatsApp beta tester on Twitter said the update should arrive in 5 to 10 more days...

should not release it at all. so we all can move on and use better apps such as inbox.

Because we have friends/family living in other countries so texting would be expensive.

Just wondering, why skype isnt being used? o_O it has videos call, you can leave video messages, normal chatting with pictures attachments. Also you can communicate with PC, laptops. So why whatsapp, viber are still so popular? o_O

I have no idea why but I started using them because everyone around me was using them.

That and I don't trust Skype.
