This. Sounds. Awesome.

YAY Welcome back! Appshopper is by far my favorite app and a no-brainer to support the devs in any way possible!!! I am SO looking forward to this new concept of "social apping" taking off!! - but for me the most important feature is the watch list.

The App Store should allow video previews of the apps.

Even better 24 hour (just example) trials, I've got few apps that did not have lite versions and used it for few hours only to be disappointed and deleting them. If there were trials or easy way to return if not satisfied withing specified period of time I thik I would not hesitate so much to buy apps in fear of wasting money

Instead of going to the media to complain like a 5 year old who's parent won't buy them another toy, why can't AppGratis just do this (if in fact their company is doing nothing wrong)?

The App (App Shopper Social) looks nice, good job.

I'm sorry but AppGratis is garbage compared to Appshopper. Strongly recommend Appshopper.

because like the other app apps, their business is taking money from developers in exchange for making it seem like their apps are cool and pushing them to people

I didn't even know that the original AppShopper had been removed from the store(!). I've had it for forever and I check it for new or interesting apps almost every day. I'm glad I never had need to re-download.

I agree that there should be trials, but Apple is pretty good about issuing refunds, especially if the app was not as advertised.

As long as I can enter an app to search for and add it to my Wish List, it does everything I need and love about the current AppShopper app (and site) which I already use.

Glad to see Apple still seems open to different kinds of app discovery. (And shocked to see HOW MANY alternative quasi-"storefront" apps are currently in the App Store when I look for them. App Gratis' removal is a drop in the bucket!)

Meanwhile, App Gratis got some free PR by raising a stink, but the same practices Apple doesn't like... I don't like either.

A+++!!!!!

Wow, nice job!

I like being able to follow Macrumors and Toucharcade, but personally omit the Appshopper channel. Too many junk apps.

Leaning just toward seeing the more premium apps reviewed on the main sites Toucharcade and Macrumors.

Tallphone support wooo!

So no ads... I paid to remove ads from the last version. Dead for all? Or coming back eventually to have to pay to remove?

Why when they have always had a website. Why do they need an app. Why does AppShopper?

Smart approach to getting this back on the store. Well played. The app is really great. Like your post over on AppShopper mentioned, bringing back the top list and new app feeds would be great—plus an iPad universal version and the ability to view individual user's feed by clicking on their name. Also shouldn't it pull in the user's avatar in the friends list? I'm not sure if AppShopper has it's own avatar system, but if I'm linked to Twitter then bringing in the Twitter avatar would be a nice place to start.

It's really great being able to follow other user's lists/recommendations. I can see this coming in really handy—and probably feeding my appoholic syndrome!

Add me on AppShopper: acduke. Or if you linked through Twitter follow @aacduke. Then you can see the apps and games I use. Although I've probably downloaded well over 1500 apps since 2008, these are the ones that I like or use the most on my iPhone and iPad. I even put some of my Mac apps on there, although it limits the apps to Mac App Store only. Wish I could somehow add 3rd party stuff so that people could better see my workflow.

Good work arn and friends! One of my most used apps of all time. Don't know what I'd do without it. You've saved me so much money and have enabled me to try out new things that I might not have purchased unless they were on sale.

Even better 24 hour (just example) trials,

Apple has given folks the power to do lite versions with ads etc and an IAP to buy the whole thing. Heck I've even downloaded games that only let you play the first 3-5 levels with no multiplayer unless you IAP.

If developers don't use such tools that's not Apple's fault

These demo versions work for games not perfect scenario but they work to a certain extent, I can name a couple cons like 1. you play 5 levels of a game you like it buy full version and now have to repeat those 5 levels 2. Search for apps instead of getting a clean result you get game "x" lite, pro, lite HD, Pro HD why not just have one and "HD" as an in app purchase so that your scores are the same thru all devices (but with these multiple apps apple can say look how many apps we have! lol) And how about apps that are not games? Like utilities where you want to test full functionality to see if it fits your needs not a limited version with missing functions that can't be tested. I'm not saying its apples fault for not doing that or allowing to do that, I just wish it was something more like a limited time trial instead of multiple versions of apps.

That is why they should be using in app unlocks not different versions. Apple gave them the tool and recommends that use. But the developers don't. Just like they don't use them when something is really just more levels of the same game play (angry birds Seasons being a great example)

Must be nice to own the biggest apple news website when you're also publishing apps for apple's platforms.

I've already figured out the media controls the world... What I can't figure out is how to get in it myself.

I hope you're not being serious

Is there anyway to see a friend's list?

For instance, I have macrumors and appshopper as friends, and I would like to filter on my Stream only macrumors apps...
