I will be using it, great work here. Aquafox is better than it's ever been, and runs great (with KaiOS UA) on a 1.2ghz G4 and is even usable on a 500mhz G3.So... I'm not sure if anyone still uses this because it's been a while, but I do, and I've been wanting to add Aquafox compatibility since it came out. So since I got a little bit of time recently, I finally managed to throw a long-overdue update together.
The new Plus version now has:
- Compatibility with Aquafox
- A rudimentary URL bar and navigation buttons, massively benefiting practical usability (many thanks to @thewireless!)
- 500 x 500 default window size for better practicality while still retaining performance benefits
- It now uses the KaiOS user agent by default, which means that YouTube now provides the faster HTML5 player instead of the slower JavaScript interface. On top of this, the Aquafox MP4 Enabler (thanks again to @thewireless!) has been included with the download for convenience, allowing the browser to disable the slower WebM streams that YouTube sends by default, offering an even further improvement in playback performance.
- Cosmetic updates, misc changes
I would provide a link, but there is already one in the main post as well as the post preceding this one, and I don't want to spam links. 🤷
This will make it that much better, great work! Will report my findings later after use.
