I was able to compile it on Linux PPC64 today. Unfortunately it doesn't start. I modified the mozconfig several times but without success.

hello guys, thank for the newer browser, it function well;
however, maybe you can tell if there ais a good OS for powermac g5, since ia m still using debian 7, and sometime hope it could be bit more round. it function well, but have no longer attempted to get graphics acceleration. and newer packages would not install.

is there a newer OS that allows for Graphics accelleartion with newer browser on Powermac, just basic stuff, i mean , it , but maybe there i s some prgress lost track .

teh computer is powermac 7,3 and has ATI graphics 9600xt. it should be compatible with morphos, but would prefer to try a newer distro of linux if possible.

EDIT: is it possible to pass the security test on the Newer Arctic fox , since on debian 7 it would not complete.
thanks.

You can try MintPPC64 for your G5, it gives you a modern Debian sid with a Mint layer. The default desktop is LXDE, but you can also install a Mint XFCE desktop later.

I got 45.3 working too in MintPPC64 using the attached libraries (three of them). I ended up packaging those three libraries into arcticfox.deb. It installs them automatically. The new arcticfox is in the repo now.
