I got the 128gb and have a lot of legally purchased music and some digital movies too. I like having a lot of space as occasionally I do take a lot of photos.

128 for me. Huge music collection. Tons of apps. Plus I don't want to have to worry about running out of room. Live Photos and 4K video take a lot of space.

If you spread the payments out over 24 months, the extra $100 comes out to about $4 per month.

I got the 16gb.

All my music, all my movies and TV shows are all stored on my hard drives I own and shared through my Plex server. My photos are uploaded to Google Photos. I don't store anything locally. I have all my media on me all the time through streaming and I have 8gb still available.

Storage has just never been an option so I don't really need any more.

I already have a 128GB iPad Mini 4 so as soon as the SIM-free 6S+ was released I grabbed a 64GB one...from the online store so it's being made right now I guess.

6 years ago I bought the iPhone 3GS with 32GB capacity and as I just used my MacBook, there was no problem with space then either.

But that didn't have 4K video capabilities...
Slightly OT,1 reason I opted for the + version this time: It will prevent from buying a Mini.

Not sure why anyone need 128gb on their phone unless they have like a huge library of pirated music and movies

Don't assume it's pirated.

I went from 64gb 5S to 128gb 6S+. I have about 12,000 photos on my phone, plus lots of legal music.

Videos and photography? I like to document my travels with pictures, slow-mo's, videos, timelapses in various National Parks. There is no cloud or big servers to constantly offload images. And the last thing I want to do after traveling into the wild is worry about storage running out.

It doesn't though. Lots of iPad apps don't run on iPhones. That's the reason why it can't replace the iPad. I think of magazines for example.

128GB 6s Plus here. I can live with a 64GB but since the phone has 4k recording I wanted to play it safe :)

I opted for the 128GB 6S+ when I returned the 64GB 6S I initially purchased. Coming from a 16GB 5C I can't believe how much I'm loving the + size. My old iPhone feels so tiny now.

I'm sure I'll take a lot of photos with it, but I tend to eventually transfer them elsewhere and clear the older photos off from time to time. Still, it's nice to not have to worry about storage now, and the extra space will definitely come in handy for video.

I probably would've gone for 64GB, but the Apple Store didn't have any space gray models available when I made my reservation and my return window was almost up. I don't regret getting 128 for $100 more, though. And if you're planning to keep your phone for 3 years you probably won't either.

Went from 16 to 64. I wish Apple had a 32gb version I would have went with that because I dont even need 64gb. I just need a more than 16. I have about 500 songs, 800+ pics/videos, 2 movies, 20 apps (including 3 large sized games for my kids) and still have 31GB left.

I always get 128GB. $100 more buys me the piece of mind knowing that I'll never have to worry about running out of storage space on my devices.

Same here, the extra is not insignificant for me, but it is worth more than the irritation of not being able to take those photos or videos I suddenly want to take, or not being able to upgrade the OS or install that new app without having to delete stuff.

I have a few friends that I tried to advise not to get the 16GB iPhone 6 who did so anyway. Now those same people are complaining about having to delete apps and pics because they don't have enough storage to do any of Apples iOS updates.

I've long stopped actively trying to stop friends and family from making silly tech purchasing decisions for exactly this reason.

Wha? I was trying to reply to the answer saying their friends all bought 16GB phones and now constantly need to delete stuff.

Hehe, that's ok. I knew which post you meant to quote. :D
