I've had mine a month and it's a neat little toy but odd to get used to as a phone (I'm coming from the prepaid universe). The service drops from 3G to Edge way more than it should, but it's not a dealbreaker. I wish AT&T had a less expensive voice plan since I still use my land line a lot!

I finally installed my overpriced anti-glare screen protector today and I miss the nice glassy feel :(

ME too

I just bought one white iphone 3g for my girlfriend a week ago... she love it and I dont even have one for me :(.

yup, last week i bought an 8GB iPhone. i can't see myself ever using a standard cell again...

Did your little prepaid phone stay on 3G all the time?

I completely agree with you about the voice plans costing way too much. I use a lot more data and messaging than voice. My voice plan should be like $15 a month and my data plan $40. I'm surprised the phone companies don't offer smaller voice plans. Instead of 450 minutes with unlimited nights and weekends, I'd rather just have 400 total minutes. When I call my friends, it's only for two minutes to say "hey, what time are we going to meetup?," but usually I'll just text them. I'm not saying everyone wants a $15 voice plan, but they should at least offer it.

I think the antiglare screen protectors are a waste of money. I've had my iPhone for three months now and I've never had a problem with the scratch-resistant screen getting scratched. I've never had a problem with glare either - usually, it's either too bright or not bright enough, but never glare. I actually like the glare because I can use it like a rear-view mirror to see behind me without turning around. :D

Welcome to the iPhone world! :)

Haha no about prepaid. I was going to pick up another prepaid phone (since I don't talk a lot and don't like contracts since I've been saving to move overseas), but Virgin Mobile's phones have decreased so much in quality that I couldn't stomach spending $80 on the only one that was tolerable. Apparently they have a 3G phone now and it's just, well yuck, the photo speaks for itself. 3G + WAP = Why?

The iPhone was the only thing I'd remotely consider signing a contract for, and the early termination fee is not too horrible... so I figured I didn't have much to lose. I was paying $40/m for Virgin Mobile anyway. The phone companies probably have the expensive plans just because they know we'll fork over the $$ for them. I've used 310 of my night and weekend minutes! I also wish there were more of an intermediate texting plan between $5 and $20. I will just disable my Facebook Mobile instead :(

I got the anti-glare protector to keep the phone from getting handbag leftovers on the screen. Coins etc. can get pretty dirty being bounced around in there...

Oh, I forgot. One big drawback? The GSM buzz :(

yes, people still buy iPhones

my sister was in town this weekend with her husband and kids. we all went to dinner with our mother and his mother. 5 adults, 2 kids. all 5 of us have iPhones! my sister just got hers a few weeks back and my mom just upgraded to 3G. it was too funny. both kids were watching nick kids podcasts while we passed the other 3 around seeing what apps everyone had.

to date this is still the best electronic device i have ever bought, despite the issues i have encounterd.

:apple: = ;)

you won't regret getting one.

Does anyone here work at an Apple Store?
Are you still selling a lot of iPhones? Or, do you only sell like two or three a day?

thank you.

I bought my 2G just this week after working on it for a friend. Despite the lack of 3G, I'm honestly in love with this thing and can't imagine going back to my RAZR now. Only thing is, it needs upgrading from 1.0.2 but Installer crashes so I can't virginise it which rather sucks.

I love my iPhone. I posted earlier in the thread saying that it hadn't arrived. I've had mine now for a few weeks and it's fantastic. My life now depends on my iPhone (is this bad??), as it has my schedule in it as well as notes and anything else I ever need. It's awesome.

I bought an 3G Iphone today. White 16 Gig, I was the first and practically the only customer in the AT&T store. (Saturday morning when they opened so I figured it would be slow).

I was in and out in about 30 minutes, would have been quicker had I not forgotten I wanted to port my old number over.

I got my 16 gb Black iPhone 3g last Sunday, October 26th. It was a birthday present from the fiance.
