Are they any Radeon Pro 460 benchmarks out yet?

Well, he was getting minimum 70 FPS in Overwatch 1080p Medium settings. MINIMUM! On Radeon Pro 450!

The GPUs are more surprising than anyone have thought about it. GTX 960M is getting average FPS of around 65 FPS in Overwatch 1080p High settings. RP 450 can tie with this, and 460 will be much faster!

Given the big compromise Made with the battery, apple had little choice. The 460 is inline with previous GPUs offered with MacBook pros.

Right, but for once Apple really used a decent GPU.
R460 is inline with Apple design request, but achieves great performances.
Don't forget that for the last MBP, Apple chose the crappy R9 M370X, which has the same TDP of GTX 950M but is
25 - 30 percent slower.
;)

Indeed this is great news. After the press releases, I was disappointed. Then I tried the keyboard in the store, and it's better than the MacBook 12 and I don't make mistakes with it. And the graphics processor seems to be better than expected. First reviews are showing the battery life in line with the 2015 even though the battery is a lot smaller.

I'm still missing Mag Safe (killed completely an old laptop ripping the plug out) but I joined a Kickstarter for USB-C to magnetic so that will be taken care of :)

GTX 960M - 65 FPS average in 1080p High settings.
Radeon Pro 450 - 57 FPS in the same resolution and details.

Well, the GPUs turn out to be much better than they were thought to be.

Radeon Pro 460 will be around 50-60% faster than Radeon Pro 450.

FYI, I swapped the drive into a Akitio enclosure today that was USB 3.1 Gen 2. The passmark scores skyrocketed
Disk Mark - 2188 ---> 3424
Seq. Read - 222 ---> 367
Seq. Write - 206 ---> 386
Rand R/W - 176 ---> 192

I bet that T3 drive you were looking at would do even better.

Which battery test? Office? Web Browsing? Creative? Etc. Sorry, I'm only going to do it once when I have time :)

When you have time, can you save and upload the vBIOS? Use ATIFLash 2.74 which has Polaris GPU support. Thank you!

Battlefield 1 at native resolution (2880x1800) with 50% render scale (so essentially 1440x900) and auto quality (essentially medium) in the Arditi section of the campaign gets 60-70+ fps.

Eve Online at 1680x1050 with max settings for everything except anti-aliasing (disabled) while orbiting the Perimeter gate in Jita ranges from 80-120 fps. Zoomed in at the Jita 4-4 undock point is around 35 fps.

Edit: both games are with boot camp.

Hello capsules!
Can you check if EVE is function with the OS X version?
I am afraid that the macbook fan would spin like crazy.

It would be nice if you can check this for me.

Thank you.

Greetings,
fly save!

Can anybody comment on streaming ability while playing overwatch?
Thanks

Haven't tested streaming specifically but Overwatch is a locked 60fps on high, auto resolution scale 2880x1800 for me, so I'd assume there's a little leeway there for streaming.

this is as reference my valid result using radeon pro 455, not really high

Performance between a GTX860M and a GTX770M, behind GTX960M though

well I think Radeon Pro 460 should no far from this

Playing overwatch @1680 x 1050, medium settings got around 60-65 fps, very playable

If you turn down the resolution to 1920x1200 would that leave more headroom for streaming?

Auto resolution scale is basically rendering around 50% which puts me just under 1080p anyways - this is probably the best you'll get. What app do you use to stream?

Eve works fine in OS X. The fans are much quieter - maybe half (or less) the volume of the 2015 MBP.

Hello guys
im a new owner of the MBP 15" with Radeon Pro 450
as a new guy here and to the MacOS, I wanna ask some question:
1.) Can i use normal AMD drivers (amd.com) to update mine? <<<<<< have someone actually did it ??
2.) Can i overclock my RP450? <<<<<<< I believe this card will be able to match 960M with a little OC

Jokowi ikut disini jg? :D

ok, I think for now just use the driver from the bootcamp and I don't think overclocking radeon pro 450 in windows is a safe action, even it can be done it will be very hot then.

But it just my opinion :)

wkwkwk iya gan :) nubie ijin gabung yak

but I saw someone on the internet saying that he OCed his m370X (previous gen.) by +50MHz and gain a moderate boost knowing the M370X is a 75+W (I believe)

hehehe siaaap silahkan gan sama2 nubie :)

R9 M370x vs radeon pro series they are different class, at least my understanding about both cards, radeon pro series are professional graphics
well, quoting from wikipedia :
"Radeon Pro is AMD's brand of professional oriented GPUs. It replaced AMD's FirePro brand in 2016. Compared to the Radeon brand for mainstream consumer/gamer products, the Radeon Pro brand is intended for use in workstations and the running of computer-aided design (CAD), computer-generated imagery (CGI), digital content creation (DCC), high-performance computing/GPGPU applications, and the creation and running of virtual reality programs and games.[1]"

maybe later we will see someone can do something about this card :)

ow, ic
no wonder they have the exact shader (640) but much lower TDP on the 450

oiya gan, mau tanya satu hal lagi:
how to tell if a macbook pro 15" 2016 plastic seal's is not fake and never opened before?
like on the iphone 7 (on 3rd party online store), there r so many re-sealed product, right?

I'm getting my MBP with Radeon 460 tonight (hopefully).

I'll install Overwatch probably this weekend (If I manage to get a Windows 10 copy) and post how it works for me. I play it on PC with a GTX 660Ti and get 60 fps on 1080p.

I think is a bad idea testing the 460 with overwatch because it has low hardware requirements.
Is better idea try the video card with battlefield 1 or titanfall 2 .

OT
Do you think blizzard will make overwatch also for mac?
