Has the antenna 'death grip' issue been fully resolved ?

What antenna 'death grip' issue?

Just kidding. I had this issue with my iPhone 4, even though this issue never actually existed. But, it's fixed now. Took them 2 phones to get it right, but they finally did.

Returning mine

Returning my 4s 64GB tomorrow.
Came from a jailbroke 4/32GB, on iOS4.3.3.

Major reason is battery life, which is simply shocking compared to the 4. Dont know why I should disable loads of stuff to get better life, I upgraded to get most of that extra stuff.

Camera is of course, superb, and I have loved being able to put more music and videos on the 64Gb device. But the effective upgrade price will be £400 (would be selling 4/32GB for ~£300 I guess, both phones bought Apple-Sim free) is simply not worth it FOR ME.... I dont really use the phone for non-productive stuff, and a direct comparison on opening apps, camera, messages, phone apps, well, yes the 4s is more nippy, but again, we are talking maybe 1/2 second here... ok, maybe a whole second with the camera.

Also, very disappointed with Siri. Fun at first, but the more I have used it the more limited I have found it, especially since location related stuff does not work outside of UK.

And I miss some JB stuff, lock-screen calendar.

So maybe for me, all software related, which I am sure will all be resolved in a few weeks or months, but right now, that software is still too bleeding edge.

So does this mean you're going back to your iPhone 4 or going with something else?

try the samsung galaxy s ii you will be happy,
i tryed it but went with the iphone , no hebrew on the galaxy.

Oh, I'll be sticking with the 4. I listen to a lot of music, and from what I understand, the GS2 has really poor battery life for that.

(As an aside, I continue to be disappointed with lack of FM radio receiver, and that alone is tempting me to an Andriod phone (local football commentary), but havent found one yet that can match the iPhone on Music play battery life)

Is anyone who upgraded from a 4 to a 4S considering a switch to SGSII?

I've been a long time iPhone user but I have to admit, I've become a little bored with its limitations.

I'm currently on a 4S but I'm seriously considering of returning and getting a SGSII; am I alone on this?

No way! In my opinion, it's an over-sized, poorly-built iPhone wannabe with a horrible stock interface and terrible battery life. But that's just me.

As well as that, I'm way too entrenched in the Apple ecosystem for me to switch (not that I'd ever want to, anyway).

P.S. I have tried two Android phones in the past and it was a huge relief to come back to iPhones.

I'm happy....the third 4s works well...no dead pixels, no buzzing, and the battery life issue isnt there. I dig Siri and find myself using it a lot.

There will always be complainers. When you got people "tapping" on their phone to make it rattle, you got some crazy people!
Oops.... Someone hit a nerve. My how judgmental :)

On topic:

I bought a 4S for my wife. Yet kept my iP4 Antennagate special even though it's phone is terrible.

Having my AT&T SGSII solves that problem since it has a great phone with the typically good reception & clarity I've enjoyed for years on AT&T.

The exciting aspect about Apples new 4S is Apple has finally learned how to make a phone that works well. We went out to dinner last night. Her 4S placed a call that was crystal clear and did not drop. My iP4 on the other hand displayed "no service". So there's a perfect example of the reality of Antennagate. Had I been alone and an emergency arose, my iP4 was useless.

So why dont I buy a 4S? I'd rather wait for iPhone 5 I'm hopes that Apple will give it a modern sized display. At 4.3" the one on my SGSII is perfect for me.

98% thrilled..........Coming from the iPhone 4, it wasnt THAT big of a difference, but Im VERY happy with the Camera, and somewhat newer options.

My 2% disappointment is I REALLLLLY had my heart set on a total redesign. MAN the rumors were FLYIN'!

Oh well, at least I have next time to look forward to!..........right?
