Yes.

And I love finding new ways and new apps to integrate it further into my life. It may be an addiction, but it is a darn useful one.

Yes.

two things I can't live without;

iTunes
App Store

It's hard to leave, trust me I tried a Droid and nearly died.

Yes, but I would be addicted to any smart phone I have. I think it's more of a general having to be connected addiction. I hate phone calls though. Go figure.

I love my iPhone. Always have since launch day of iPhone 2G.

But honestly, my iPad is on a different level altogether. At home, it's hard to get it out of my hand. Reading, browsing, games, email etc, etc.

My iPad's only flaw is no FaceTime which has become the killer app for my wife and I and our grown children.

So, yes, I love my iPhone.

I left to go out for dinner and realized I forgot my iPhone. We were 10 minutes away already, but I still turned back to go get it.

Yup, have to admit I am woefully addicted to mine.

When I sold my iPhone 3G two weeks before the iPhone 4 launch, I was actually lost without an iPhone. Even funnier however, was the amount of times my wife would ask me to find a number or check something online while out and about and I couldn't because I had no iPhone ... even she missed it! :D

It is frightening how reliant and somewhat dependant we become on the iPhone, but it does so many things in one very small package.

The iPhone has helped me solve random trivial questions that pop up throughout the day :)

Stuff like, "Why do they put those red balls on power lines" or "What other movies have I seen that guy in?"

Having Google at my fingertips everywhere I go is one of the most addicting things. I even walk down the hall staring at my iPhone (yes, I still look up and greet people) reading a book or working a crossword during the day. :p

Dude I know! Some of my friends actually txt me randomly to ask me random questions or to solve an argument for them cause they know i can look it up easily on my phone, it's funny, and I do it too, especially if I'm cooking, I use it a lot for recipes and making sure I know the right temp to cook chicken to.

How many times a day do you check email, twitter, facebook, etc? Is the iphone the last thing you look at at night before you sleep and the first thing you check in the morning? Do you feel anxious when you leave it at home?

I am begining to think that the iphone facilitates a connectivity disorder/addiction. Since people can be addicted to gambling, clearly you do not need a substance that causes addiction.

What do you guys think? Is this addiction or are our phones meerly aids like a wristwatch that make us more effective?

all the time.. i don't think it's an addiction, it's just a good way to kill some time, if i get bored or am in an awkward social situation, I can kill time or escape by checking facebook or email or playing a quick game, it is the last thing I do before I go to bed, but not the first thing I do in the morning - I have a 37" HDTV mounted on the wall at the foot of my bed with my laptop plugged into it with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse so i usually roll over and turn on the tv and check everything on it from bed, but before I go to bed i use my phone alot cause when I'm trying to sleep I'll remember things I was supposed to do or I'll get a push notification from facebook that will start me off on a tangent..

I am completely addicted. Last month my 3G froze up and at work and I needed to restore. I had a baseball game to go to right after work so I was iphone-less for about 9 hours. I never realized how much I used it until I went to grab it every 10 mins or so and couldn't use it!

Not really.

Back when I first got the first gen iPod touch and iPhone, I was addicted. The jailbreak community spoiled me. Then there was a time when I cut-off my data plan and went back to my unlocked Nokia N82. Used that for almost a year as my main phone until the iP4. Used my old iPhone as an iPod touch, but did use it alot for browsing and notes because my laptop crashed and never recovered.

I think I am more addicted to internet, and could be addicted to any phone as it is practically my way of life. As for my current iPhone, I only been with it for almost two weeks now. I'm still getting used to having an iPhone as a main phone again. Give it time. I'm pretty sure I will be addicted to it again like Crackberry addicts are to their BB phones.

Completely addicted. iOS? More like iCrackOS. Can't remember what life was like way back when in 2006.

I think I'm more addicted to forums about the iPhone than I am the iPhone itself. However, it never leaves my side and I would feel completely lost without it.

Yes I am...The last thing I do before I go to sleep at night is play a few games on my iPhone, watch a few YouTube videos and check my FB/Twitter and the first thing I do in the morning is reach over, grab my iPhone and check any missed calls, texts or emails, I play games on it whenever I have some free time and sometimes I just pick my phone up, hit the sleep button, look at the screen and put it back to sleep again, my iPhone is pretty much the center of everything I do. Oh and I do actually have a social life and a job before anyone says anything lol, I just really like my iPhone :-D

well yeah i think im addicted to my iphone 4 i havent use laptop since i got it but yeah i remember when i sold my 3g to buy my i4 and i felt like those were the longest weeks ever! thank you apple!:apple: u made a new drug :D

In bed reading this thread on my iPhone.

Let's put it this way: when typing on my MBP or PC laptop I get frustrated when I double spacebar and it doesn't add a period automatically.

extremely addicted. I start freaking out if it isn't in my pocket, even if its in my hand. My friend though, He's sold his iPhone a week ago and he won't be getting one till it comes to canada. Hes using a *gulp* nokia n95. Good thing he has an iPad or else idt he would last much longer.

I've been addicted ever since I got the 2G. Though having an iPad helps aliviate it a bit.

Yeah I'm addicted. I'm always on it. I haven't really used my laptop since I've got my first iPhone. Three things I feel naked without, my clothes, my gun, and my iPhone. Don't leave home without them.

Well, technically you ARE naked without your clothes. :p

Same - I love being able to look stuff up that before I'd wonder about for a minute, but then forget by the time I got home and was near a computer.

I'm addicted, but not in the literal "it's impacting my life negatively" way - it's just such a cool piece of tech, and so useful. Bored in line somewhere? Take out your iPhone and play a game or check twitter. Lost? Open maps. Wondering what time that store closes and if you'll make it? Google. See something cool while you're out? pictures or HD video. It's just... cool, you know?

Oh, and when I need to make a phone call it does that, too :)

Yes, I am addicted to my iPhone, even just by holding its glass back, makes my day better. Just LOVE it!

I'm addicted to SWYPE. Since I travel so much, I do my work email on a smartphone. SWYPE is fast & easy. I can write twice as fast on it. I use it on my HTC Desire since Apple forbids it. Too bad, it would be awesome on an iPhone 4.
