It will have to be really significant for me to upgrade. Retina won't do it alone for me. I have a 1 right now and am fine with it so I probably won't bother. Besides I don't think I can get all that much selling the 1 anyway.

Still thinking...

I am still on the fence and it will probably be a last minute decision, after playing with an iPad in a store. My 11" MBA largely fills the role of my iPad, but there are still times when I need a device that is larger than my iPhone, but smaller than my MBA; for those times, my iPad is priceless.

I'll probably be buying as I'm still rocking the iPad1. I didn't fancy the iPad 2 design. I like outer shell of the iPad 1 better and the iPad 3 is a little closer to that. I will probably give my dad my old one since mom was wanting to get him one this past christmas anyway.

I like the iPad 1 shell much better too, but the 3 looks nothing like it. It looks exactly the same as the 2.

I was on the fence last week, and keep telling myself that my iPad 2 64GB Wi-Fi works perfectly fine. That's what I told myself last year before the iPad 2 came out. After the keynote last year, I went completely 360 and wanted the iPad 2 BAD. I know this will happen again, and didn't want to lie to myself anymore. So I sold my iPad 2 last week for $540. I'll be getting the Wi-Fi iPad 3 as soon as it becomes available. Can't decide if I want the 32GB or 64GB though. Kinda like that extra capacity but 32GB tends to have a better resale value. What do you guys think?

My first 2 iPad's have been 32GB AT&T 3G, will be springing for the 64GB AT&T 3G version, but would really love a 128GB option this time around! :D

Already sold my iPad2, going with the 3g/4g model. Still on the fence about getting the 16 or the 32 model tho ><

at least about 20% are on the fence. Talk about the price increase of $79.

Well I read a story that said the price increase wouldn't happen. I will be getting an iPad 3. My iPad 2 is still in pretty good shape from when I purchased it in September so it may be a month or so before I make the upgrade.

When the iPad first came out, I wasn't completely sold on the idea. I had a Macbook Pro and an iPhone... I didn't see the need for an iPad.

I considered getting the iPad 2 but when the iPhone 4 came out with the retina screen, I decided I didn't want an iPad until it had a retina screen as well.

Now the iPad 3 is coming out with a retina screen and who knows what other cool features... and I'm super excited to get my first iPad!

Yes, 16 GB Wi-Fi, Black or 128 GB Wi-Fi, Black if they introduce one. Either one extreme or another for me. 3G/4G is useless with my iPhone and tethering.

Yes. Already sold my iPad 2 16GB and have been hoarding Apple Store gift cards all year for holidays, etc.

I am opting for the 32GB model this time...just have to figure out whether or not I want 3G/4G. I have MyWi on my iPhone 4S, so Im not sure if it is needed.

What is the average price you guys have been able to sell yours for. I sold my 16GB iPad 2, smart cover, rear shell, and Zagg screen protector for $450. Good? Bad?

wait and see

I don't need an iPad right now, esp. since I just upgraded my iPhone to the 4s late last year.

For me, the usual things apply:

same battery life
more storage
same price
same weight

and the apps to replicate what I do on my iMac:

blackboard for a better tablet experience for school
Final Draft
Word

I have a question:
do you guys think that Siri will come to the iPad? I can understand Siri for the iPhone, because it's small, extremely portable, and pretty much everywhere you go.

But the iPad just seems like an overuse. I haven' thought about this too much, but it's kind of a "back of the mind" though.

Yes!!! It will be my first iPad. I have Apple everything else. I was going to get the iPad2 for Xmas, but decided to wait until the upgraded model. I waited, so I'm purchasing. :D

iPad 1 goes to wifey, iPad 3 for me.
Unless its a minimal update, then I'll jump to iPad 2

I have a 16gb wifi iPad 1. If I can get 250 for it I'll spring for the 3. Otherwise I'll probably stick with the one I have. Wife and I both use the same one so I can't really pawn it off on her. She'd never go for it lol.
