The current garbage display on the iPad 2 deserved the upgrade last year. It's going to be the highest memory plus, wifi+LTE model. Waiting in line on release day: I HAVE to have it the day it's released.

Pretty easy choice for me since I no longer have an iPad (gave it to mom). Will probably go w/ a wifi version this time since my whole campus is covered.
Ordering three for my office. 2 black and 1 white if they offer that option. Ordering online as I refuse to stand in line for anything. Hope they offer pre-orders, if not I will wait the day or two for delivery.

Yes, but no. I've bought every iPhone and iPad since they where released, and I feel the current phone Is incredible despite the god awful battery.
My iPad 2 is jail broken and is just perfect, nice and quick. I don't really want an iPad with a better screen, although I know as soon as I test drive it in the apple store, I'll be buying it.

I've kept my iPad 1 for home use...iPad 2 for travelling...
When I get the 3, I'll be giving my iPad 1 (still in pristine condition) to my mom.

I sold my iPad 2 at a somewhat decent price so I don't why I wouldn't buy an iPad 3. I have a 64 GB iPhone 4S so I may buy the 32 GB iPad 3 Verizon (LTE). I am not sure if I will buy it on release date. I'll decide after tomorrow. If for sure the AX5 is a dual core then I will wait to see reviews on the performance gains. (I'll eventually purchase it but a little tight on money atm)

I didn't vote before, but until I woke up this morning, I was a nailed on certainly to buy it.
Now it's 100% NO.
Why? Because unlike the iPhone 4S which finally got released on the KDDI AU network here in Japan after being only on Softbank for ages, the new iPad has reverted back to a single carrier.
I think a lot of Japanese probably let out a collective groan this morning, when it was discovered that only Softbank would be offering the new iPad. Essentially it means the product is crippled at launch, and have data rates which were considered slow during for 2G, let alone 4G. And that's if you can get a signal at all in most parts of the country outside Tokyo. It's a shambles, and it's going to seriously hit iPad sales here (which will probably be healthy, because Japanese people love Apple products, but which will be nowhere near as high as they would have been if Softbank wasn't the only provider).
So in a nutshell, great product, completely hobbled. No purchase.
