I'm pushing the edge of your time frame, it's a 1986 Bronco with 162k miles. It's one of the slowest and most crude vehicles I've ever owned, and also my favorite. It's proven to be reliable, but it does have little issues from time to time that would be expensive to fix if you don't know how to work on cars.

My Car is a 2001 Daewoo Lanos Sedan 45k on it last I looked
My mom's car is a 2001 Chevy Impala LS with the 3.8. 118k miles last I looked, Bought it with 112K on it.
My significant other's 2001 Subaru Forester S just turned over 178,000 recently. My own 2000 Forester's engine died two summers ago somewhere around 160,000 miles.

I've kept up with the maintenance but it has needed quite a bit of work over the last several years - timing belt, new rear struts, new rear wheel bearings, new front half shafts, new wheels, a few sensors, some front end suspension work, most of the exhaust, various electrical...and in the last 12 months body corrosion has started to become more obvious, especially on the rear hatch. I need to replace the fuel filler pipe this summer as it is leaking. All of the door gaskets are ripped - I live in an an area with very harsh winters, the door gaskets get iced up and tear when you open the door.

Hoping to squeeze another 2 years/30-50k miles out of her before selling - as long as the transmission holds out I think I can get away with that plan. Great car in the winter, on bad roads or when hauling things.
Wow, and I get **** about my Daewoo being a "Garbage" car......

well it is a F.O.R.D afterall, wouldnt surprise me if it dont start in winter either.

00 Expedition with 200K+ miles, 03 Altima with 200K+ miles, and our newest vehicle is an 05 Monterey minivan. We don't buy new cars and pretty much drive them until the wheels fall off.

I've always own Fords, not because of any kind of loyalty, but because they are what I know. In the last decade I've had 3 dirt cheap 80's Fords and in that time I've only had to do a few minor repairs, a starter, an alternator, fuel return line, an interior door handle and a choke. That's spread out over the three vehicles, of which I've spent a total of about $350 on repairs. How's that Daewoo of yours compare?

2000 Honda Accord Sedan. About to hit 90k miles. Arguably needs a new power steering pump (not an emergency) and key fob. But i'm being stubborn.

I recently replaced; front headlamps (oxidation), some bulbs, a transmission solenoid assy, and a new battery (during the 6-month period i left it unused).

But otherwise its been rock solid over the years...somewhat annoyingly. Because i have no justification for getting a new car. Also hard to sell for any real money.

Yet i want a new car because its an old basic accord...its boring to look at, boring to drive, slow unless you strangle it (VTEC), and is known as 'grandpa's car' socially. Definitely not a chick magnet.

But what can i say...the old lady still starts and runs whenever i ask her to. Served the family very well.

Don't own a car, but I do have a small (100cc) 1997 Honda motorcycle that has done 239,000 km (148,000 miles) that I picked up for about $500, just over 12 years ago. With the engine overhauled a year ago at a cost of cost about $150, it should see me right for a good few more years & miles.

I have a 2004 mustang GT convertible. Her name is Vadara, she has all the color of Vader, triple black with grey and chrome accents, just a touch of red in the back, but far too sexy for a guys name. Got it new and put 150k miles on it.

I got a 2014 Jeep Wrangler rubicon, her name is Amelia because that crazy girl will go anywhere. I love both of my girls and will part with neither.

My wife drives a Ford Fusion, it has no specific sex.. It is named Pat.

Nissan Micra 1,0 1998 190.000km. And 3 bicycles. Highest point in Denmark is 157meters and tax on cars are something like 180% ...yes 180% tax on a car.
Big engine cars in Denmark are for show not for everyday use ... Big cars owners are looked upon as enviromental pigs.
(sorry for word use but denmark is a pigcountry and people messing up enviroment in denmark we actually only have one word for "enviromental pig")

180% of what?

2003 Subaru Forester, 220,000 miles. In that time just normal servicing and one rear shock replaced. Daughter drives it now.

2005 Mini Cooper 107,000 KM, 2004 Chevy Suburban 94,000 KM & 2005 Yamaha R1 22,000 KM. Owned all since new and all still look like new. Keep them in great condition.

We do not drive a lot. and I only have to travel to work 3 days a week which is real close to home. Any distance traveling is done by air.

Most cars are pretty pointless. So many folks get way more car than they really need. I usually get around on two wheels (bicycle for commuting and within a 10 - 15 km radius of home, and a small motorcycle for longer jaunts on high days and holidays) and rent a pick-up on the odd occasion I need one (about 4 times in the past dozen years). If I did get another car I reckon something like the X90 would do me just fine….. I am more exploring home on byways and off road than boring highways.

The last car I owned (2000/01) was an early '80's Honda City, not much bigger than the X90. It had done about 265,000 km (164,000 miles) when I sold it because I moved abroad. With proper maintenance, it probably had another three or four useful years left in it.

I drive a 1995 VW Golf III Variant. Almost 140.000 miles on the clock. A cousin of mine owns a 2002 Skoda Octavia, which has a whopping 360.000 miles on it!

1998 Chevy S10 extended cab pickup with 113,000 miles. Been a pretty good truck since I got it at around 55,000 miles in 2008. Has the 4.3 v6 in it so not great on gas but I get about 17 city and 21-22 highway.
