Does anyone know if the E2E glass that covers the notch has any negative effect on FaceID performance? I’m trying to decide between notch and notch less and if it doesn’t impact FaceID I can’t imagine why I wouldn’t go for one that covers the notch. Frankly been trying to figure this out since the days of the X.

never had an issue with it and I’ve only ever used edge to edge protectors on my X, 11 and now 12

I also put a rear protector on - not edge to edge unfortunately but that combo makes me feel probably safe enough to go caseless least around the house

12 is a good one to start with as it’s flat so no issues with 2.5D or curved etc - can barely tell it’s on

edit - I will *never* buy a front protector with a notch cut out.

Yes,definitely. Just bought Spigen EZ FIT GLAS.tR screen protector for iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I got this one for my Pro Max. How’s the quality and how does it compare to the Belkin they install at Apple Stores? I tend to go for the Belkin at Apple but they’re not installing them at my Apple store... Does it diminish the colors / screen in any way?

Let me know any other tips or comments as I am not the best at self installing these 😅

No quality issues I can see, clarity is also perfect. Fitting is very easy so long as you clean the screen fully and use the supplied sticker to pickup any missed dust particles.

That is excellent news. No bubbles during application?

The install tray they use is awesome and I can say there are 0 bubbles in both mine and my wife’s.

The one complaint I have is their included microfiber cloth has the most lint in a microfiber cloth I’ve ever seen in my life. Maybe it was just mine, but I really had to put some effort into removing all the dust and lint it put on the screen after cleaning it with the included alcohol wipe.

Thanks for the additional feedback.

Anyone here use this one? I am wondering about this particular one, but also curious about these that have the black border.

I have use Spigen on iPhone 8+, regular iPhone 8 and iPhone XR and 11. Perfect fit on all of them. Not sure why you are saying that they could not get it right on iPhone SE. i have it now on iPhone 12, and as usual installation was a breeze and fit is perfect.

Quick question. Is the plastic installation kit that comes with the Spigen a tight fit on the phone? I am afraid it might scratch up the side bands. How tight does it go over the phone? Thanks.

Saw online people were complaining the apple screen protector fitting actually damaged the sides of their 12 pros, has anyone had any experience with this? I am tempted by that easy install Spigen one, but i'll take whatever is easiest to install without dust. I really struggle with screen protectors, no matter how much i clean the screen and wipe it down i always somehow get a speck of dust underneath.

is there anyone who does installations bar Apple ? perhaps im just being picky and should live with a speck or two :D

I ordered the Crystal Shield Glass Protector from Caudabe a couple days ahead of pre-ordering my 12 Pro. As it takes ages to ship and arrive in Europe, and as I'm kinda maniac when it comes to iPhone screens (mostly because I don't use folio-style cases), I ordered the Belkin one just to make sure. I'm used to fitting screens to every mobile device since the Palm handheld days back in the 90s so I prefer doing it myself.

In an ideal world, I'd not use a case or a screen protector at all, but we all hate scratched screens...

When I’m installing a screen protector on a device with a touch screen I do this in the bathroom. Why/how? Turn the shower to the hottest position possible. The bathroom temperature will rise, with all the damp. This way, the dust will settle down to the ground. After a couple of minutes I turn the shower off and start with the install. I’m doing this for years now and it’s always a succes! Never had dust on the screen.

The Bodyguardz Pure 2 fits perfectly. The size is a little larger than the display so you can use just about any case. The borders are no longer black and it looks better. Very very smooth edges that work well with a case and aren’t an issue if you are case less.
Is it worth $45? I see it comes with "lifetime" replacement but that requires paying for shipment of replacement and postage to return damaged unit. $15 for replacement shipping and return. That's brings it down to $30 each which is still quite a premium over other protectors.

This one is now sold out! Is it worth 2/$25? That's significantly more than other highly rated ones? I do like that it provides 100% coverage which many do not. Thanks!

Camera lens protector? I upgraded to the 12 Pro from a X and never worried about any kind of extra glass camera lens protector for my X, but the camera on this 12 Pro is more advanced with the three different lenses. What is your experience with camera lens protectors? Use or don't use? If you use one, which brand is best? I have AT&T insurance on the phone & I'm currently using an Apple silicone case which I think provides pretty good protection, but these lenses do protrude from the phone. Just curious about other's experiences with lens protectors.

Does anyone know if we should be looking for ones with the black edge or ones without?

I had one on my iPhone X and found it to be the best of the ones I had a chance to test. I think it's worth the money as it lasts a long time.

Oh, OK, hopefully you had just bad luck with it. On my mom's iPhone 8 Spigen protector is perfect. I think that might have have gotten bad sample. Good luck with 12, hopefully no issues.
It was/is definitely a problem with the se2. I went through two packs (4 screen protectors in total) from spigen and all had a bad halo effect. It’s been a known issue and spigen did mention coming out with a dedicated screen protector for the new se. But, I haven’t seen it.

I did however have the spigen installed on my 11 pro for entire time I owned it and it was flawless. I now have one on my 12 and it installed perfectly without bubbling, halo or debris caught underneath the protector. It’s a nice kit and fits the 12 without issue.

I've checked out lens protectors. But they are quite thick and ugly IMO. I like the concept but they stick out quite a bit and easily get knocked off.

I also purchased the screen protector from Caudabe (along with the Sheath case) but I have never bought one from them before.

I'm a little worried that it 1) it might be too thick and that 2) it will have a thicker border/bezel than the actual phone bezel but we'll see. Some pictures show the product without a black border/bezel and in others (especially in an email they sent me announcing the screen protector) it does show one.

Anyways, I ended up buying it as I thought at a minimum it would align well with their case.
I'm also thinking about going with the Caudabe Sheath & screen protector... Would be interested to hear your thoughts if you've received them? Do the case and screen protector work well together? Does their screen protector come with any sort of installation tray?
