Within a full day of using my iPhone 6 my old 5s seemed ridiculously small. I wouldn't want to go back to using a phone that's less than 4.7". In fact, I think a 5" iPhone would be just right.

I have the 6s plus

I'm in the minority. I think the 6s is too big. I have a 6s but still find it too big. So I'm very interested.

But it will depend on specs. If it's a 6s in smaller form then yes. I'll sell the 6s and buy one. If it's not then no. I won't pay to downgrade my phone.

Maybe. I'm in the Upgrade Program and the 6 month date is (probably not coincidently) very close to the alleged launch day.

I may downgrade from a 6s Plus, though I'm hesitant because of the (off?) chance there may be a 4 inch iPhone 7. Perhaps I'll use my Verizon upgrade for the 5se. We'll see.
 
I'm definitely getting it. I'll be coming from the 6. 4-inch is the perfect size phone for me, and it seems like the loss of features will be minimal...so it won't really be a downgrade.

I guess I'm just the target audience for Apple's new smaller device. 12-inch MacBook is the best Mac I've ever owned, and I'll gladly go back to a 4-inch iPhone.

See part of me agrees. I do like the 4inch form factor
 
At first I found the 6s a bit too big, but now that I've got used to it there's no going back! However, I definitely do believe there's a lot of people who will go for it, especially if it's cheaper.
 
I'm worried about how much of a downgrade it will be. But if the spec is broadly similar I'll buy it.

You need to make 12 payments in order to upgrade..
 
TWO of them...day one.

Been waiting a LONG time to be able to return to 4" size and not lose Apple Pay.

I'm also *delighted* that it's apparently going to have the same shell as the 5s - I much prefer that to the 6/6s casing.

Not 5s... I heard it would be a mix of 5s and 6s form factor
