I'm expecting a few new iphones - which I won't be buying since I have the 5 and cannot upgrade until next year.

And I'm expecting iOS 7 GM, which I think will be the same as the most recent beta, except for the bug fixes and speed improvements.

I won't be disappointed, only setting myself up to be even happier.

It's a nice way to live life.

I am ready for disappointment, there is always hope there will be a "one more thing" which is awesome.

Anyone in NYC want to go out for drinks an watch the keynote together?

I just hope all these disappointed people are for real so I can order my iPhone in peace and w/out overload of servers :)

I think the clear inference from Gruber's article isn't that releases are coming next week, but they're not coming in the forseeable.

They would be announced today if they were coming in the next few weeks.

Historically Apple haven't started accepting app updates using the iOS 7 SDK until GM has been released, so apps will probably be allowed to submit tomorrow for review and release on 17th or thereabouts, just like previous years. Anyone can say right now that they're not coming in the foreseeable as Apple haven't started accepting yet. Lol. Once Apple open submission, gruber will change his tune.

iPhone 5S is merely a spec bump and nothi else. I understand Apple is in S cycle. So I am not going to get any excitement at beginning.

What is exciting, take example of Galaxy Note 3. Though Samsung kept similar look and fell wih Galaxy S4 and using fake leather. What excited me was the software. Enhanced multi-tasking, small app view, enhanced S-pen functionalities etc. But I don't see same happens on iOS 7 size.

Sure iOS 7 gets new look, control Center, new notitication Center, multi-tasking card view. These aren't innovation at all, but merely feature enhancement,

But all the things you lost for the samsung software are all enhancements too, not innovations. You're contradicting yourself.

I've said this before....

Its an "S" phone its not suppose to be "WOW OMG LOOK AT THAT NEW DESIGN AND THAT BIGGER SCREEN"

If you are expecting that for the 5S well prepare to be massively disappointed.

"S" phones only have improvements internally and slight (very slight) design tweaks

The "S" in 3GS stood for Speed
The "S" in 4S stood for Siri
I'm guessing the "S" if they go with the same naming scheme is going to be for Security. Speed, Siri, Security all in one phone.
