Are you ready??

I am wondering how many are those who said not interested of preordering will wake up before preordering time starts and preorder. I bet the majority of them :) are the hidden iPhone limited edition fans and buyers :) who are trying to discourage others for buying so they can get it since the stocks are so limited. Smart move

buddy ive been on this forum longer than you. I have read all the features this phone will offer. I'm waiting for some more in depth camera info from the keynote. A big screen isn't enough to warrant a purchase nor is wireless charging exciting to me. Real world application is important. The Note 7 has practical features I see myself using on a daily basis.. (ex.) S-pen for jotting down notes and numbers on the fly without turning my phone on.

what about it brings you joy? a bigger screen, and wireless charging.. whilst the OS still boxes you in after all these years? Must be easy to please you!

i'm a tech nerd, new gadgets bring me joy. it fades fast, because you get used to it in no time, but its fun at the beginning. i like to see how tech advances and how complicated technology is made easy to use.

i'm not limiting myself to apple devices. (or phones in general)

bigger screen on about the same size phone is definitely nice, but not a must have (but OLED is great). never used wireless charging on my s7, not going to start with the iphone 8. i only charge at night.

but i'll definitely like faceID and want to see how it's like to use an iphone without a home button. it sounds simple, but small details in the implementation can make a big difference in the user experience. i'm also interested to see how they use the ugly notch in a way it actually makes sense and is not just ugly. (not convinced they will)

i'm hoping there's more to the new phone though.

and i'm sure you got your own things that bring you joy, but don't excite/interest me at all.
Random example (since i don't know you): You like football? You must be easy to please!

Looking forward to seeing what happens - probably won't be upgrading at the moment, but I do want to see what they do

I thought I was excited, but the more I look at the "edition", the more I don't like it. I'm tossed between that or a 7S Plus. I'm even thinking of grabbing me a Project Red iPhone 7 Plus right before the event in case I don't like what I see.
 
First significant iPhone refresh in 3 models, so I am very interested to see what shakes out. I’m not planning on buying one, but I’ve said that before

I have never done this. The 5 was my first iPhone, what I purchased used on eBay.

Even if my 6S Plus and SE die before the preorder, I'd rather use my refurbished (still in warranty) 4S instead and might even downgrade it to iOS 6.

That once was all I needed. The 5 was my first bought brand new direct from Apple experience.

As a first and only time it was great. But I don't care to repeat it. Came, saw, got the t-shirt.

Other people seem to make it an event and that's fine. Good for them. Me…just not interested past the first time. :)

PS. You aren't missing much. Just sleep.

I don't even know when preorder starts in my time zone, but the event starts at 7 PM. So I think it might not be in the middle of the night.


Of course I wish the people who care much more than me to have fun. I would never begrudge someone for anything. :)


The only thing I am interested in, is a price drop for the Apple TV 4. I don't even have a TV but it would be a nice gift for my mum.
Her current setup with a Full HD TV (what is no Smart TV and can't record to external drives), digital SD Receiver, an old analogue HDD Recorder and three remote controls is horrible for her to use.

I'm just deciding if I will upgrade between my carrier or Apple. But yes, looking forward to an new design, display and technology. Day one Purchase for me.

Haha, I'm so hyped, I'm literally stalking the counter on the front page!
Told myself I won't be buying the new iPhone as my 7 works great, but well, here I am again. :)

Eager for this release. More than when I went 3GS to 5 & 5 to 6S.

Helps not buying every year....as I'd imagine the shine would wear off seeing incremental updates compared to major ones when waiting 3 years between upgrades, as I have.

Only 2 years wait this time for me as deals are available through work.

It's interesting you like to think your different than everyone else but this is exactly what I have done too for the last three years.
