I rushed to get the 4 upon release day, I waited a few weeks for the 4S, 5, 5S, 6 and got the 6S on release day.

I waited till after the pixel came out to get the 7 but this X is making me want a release day purchase

It's the first true new design in 4 years, it seems like its actually on par and ahead of other flagships for the first time since the 4.

I have a Galaxy S8+ so my need for gadget geek out is placated for now.

I’ll be watching the reveal though. I’m really interested in Apple’s take on modern smart phone design and features.

I tried for a few months to get the 5 (and switch to VZW in the process) and couldn't get it - ended up with the Nexus 4 instead... then I managed to get the 5s the next year pretty easily, then the 6 not too far after launch and the 6s at Christmas after launch - not gone any further yet

My Uncle Frank is ready. He sets up 3 iPads, his current phone and a laptop....always gets day 1. He is having a pre-order party at his place. Will bring in food, refreshments, and will be watching movies on his 65 inch television. He will be the first person ever to do this. He expects the local media in San Jose will cover the event. pretty cool if you ask me

I will need to see the keynote and most likely more of the details after that. If the new phones don't have the ability to use LTE 600 MHz band then its a no go for me until 2018. Other than that I'm most interested in camera/video capabilities vs last year's phone, storage options and cost.

If I had an iPhone 6S or 7 this wouldn't be that big of a deal. I have an iPhone 6 that the glass is smashed and limping along.

I'm still not sure where i'll end up for purchasing. It's going to be a combination of size/availability and pricing which will drive me to order a certain model. Right now it's a battle between the iPhone 7S and 8. The 8 might be impossible to get but im confident I could snag a 7S easy if I wake up for the launch.
