Just made another reservation for a 6S Plus Space Grey T-Mobile. Have the Sim-Free right now, but since I got Samsung chip, I'm gonna have to exchange it...

Are they the plus? I wish someone would start a poll. It would be interesting to see if a pattern.

Your lucky. I'm paying full price no contract. I want the better chip. I will take it back if I receive the Samsung. I have no problem doing so. It's my hard earned money.
I firmly believe there isn't a big difference in the chips. I think this whole debate is kinda dumb and I wouldn't return my phone if it had the Samsung chip anyways.

But you do you.;)

I see so many people saying that their screen is perfect so they're not returning their Samsung chipped phone.
Wait...isn't it supposed to be perfect?? I mean you payed ~1000Euros on it. What did you expect?
I can't even imagine what are your expectations from a 100$ phone...

Gold 6S 64gb received yesterday, TSMC ;)

Was more concerned with screen quality than the chip itself, but all in all its a winner.

My 6 was a bit "whiter" and "brighter" at FULL brightness, but honestly I would have never known without them side-by-side, and the difference is negligible.

sorry if this is a bit lengthy but honestly I wouldn't return it anyway because I'm not experiencing battery issues and my phone is perfect in regards to quality control, with no attempt to save battery I could get one and a half to two days out of it if I wanted with my previously mentioned usage, maybe 3 days if I tried to save the battery. as far as I'm concerned my phone is great and meets what Apple advertised when I bought it.

while the TSMC ones might be better and I'm not trying to deny that, I've seen far too many people who have bought phones with issues relating to screen and build quality and a few people who bought a phone with the TSMC chip and have had problems with battery life. the biggest battery life thread about the 6s on here is started by someone with the TSMC chip, so even if I went to the effort of exchanging until I got one I could end up with a phone with issues and I would feel like an idiot when the one I have currently has no problems in my opinion and I'm happy with it. :p

I haven't seen many people who have the Samsung chip actually complain about real world usage or any evidence to support there is a problem outside benchmarks so currently I feel no reason to return my phone honestly. that's not to say I don't think anyone should if they want to, I'm only describing my situation and that I'm happy with mine, it might not be the best but it's pretty damn great :)

gives me an excuse to upgrade in a couple of years anyway I guess? :p

I'm trying to drain the battery on my phone so I can post my actual usage with my Samsung chip, I didn't include it in my previous posts as it actually hasn't run out yet, got to say Samsung or TSMC the 6S+ is really really impressive as a phablet style device.

I'm using the phone far more then I even want to in ways I wouldn't ever use it trying to drain it in pretty heavy real world use (for me), no attempts to save battery and the thing won't drain!, at this rate I should get at least 2 days running it like this, I'm actually getting fed up using the thing so much when I would rather just use my MBP or any other device normally, I've had to listen to 10 hours of Leo Laporte non stop streamed to a bluetooth speaker who I like but 10 hours non stop is a lot of Leo :(. ended up switching to music instead.

of course I understand it's different if you are using the normal 6S with the smaller battery and if there is actually a real world difference between the two chips then that's a concern but coming from android you guys have it pretty good from my impressions so far :p

So wait, If you get the Samsung you get a better screen? I like the whiter screens. Hmmm

okay so in a non controlled and likely terrible attempt to measure the Samsung chip and battery in real world usage on my 6s+ I've done this, I actually don't want to use my phone any more as much as I have and trying to use it as much as I have so I'm going to post my results as they are near half way battery usage then I guess you can double them and get a estimate of my final battery life with what I think is pretty heavy use for me, this is my usage with using my phone quite a bit more then I would normally without any attempt to conserve battery, background refresh is on and brightness is set to auto, I'm fed up using it so much! :p

so remember to double this as this has only used half my battery:

about 7 hours of streaming (not downloaded) music and podcasts to a local bluetooth speaker
about a half hour of youtube through safari and a half hour condensed NFL game
checked Facebook and twitter a couple of times a hour
used Facebook messenger about 3 times a hour
sent on average a couple of texts every hour
did about 25 minutes of phone calls
took about 70 photo's
used safari every so often, normal use basically, I would guess about 3-4 hours of web browsing
screen on time I would guess is about 5 hours
I also have a Apple Watch paired to my phone that I haven't used as much as I have been trying to use the phone as much as I can
I have a terrible phone signal so that will impact it, can't wait to change network!
unfortunately I haven't had time to play any games so no games are in my results, I did however increase my usage in the last 6 hours or so and spent a lot more time browsing the web, texting and using apps then is listed up above in an attempt to increase battery drain

hoping this is of some use to people :)

It would be more useful if you said what phone you had... Like a 6s or 6s+

One is a plus. The other two are standard.

no worries, glad it could be of some help, in regards to the 6S+ as far as I'm concerned if this is the inferior chip then the TSMC must be nearly immortal, I didn't think I could get fed up trying to use a phone too much picking it up every 5 minutes :p

I'm really impressed with it, unfortunately I didn't have time to play any games but there seems to be a big surplus of battery life for that and that was with me going out of my way to be inefficient with a long screen timeout and streaming music instead of playing it locally and anything else I could think of, I'm sure if I used the watch that would result in even less use of the phone as well, the 6S+ is really great whichever chip you have I imagine :)
