Working from home has it's perks :)

I can still work and wait for my new piece of fine art to arrive on Friday :D

So excited!

Absolutely. - With no mention (still) of when it's going to launch.
I've had to take the whole day off.

Oh well, means I have longer to play on it! :p

Paid personal day here. Planning to get some landscaping done early, then play video games until the iPad arrives! Can't wait! :D

Ah the joys of working from home. I hardly do this, but the consequences of missing the delivery (going a whole weekend without iPad) are just too great.

My RDO (regular day off),so I'm getting paid while I sit @ home waiting for my new gadget to be delivered.

Well, I don't have school on Friday for School Improvement Day, but my iPad doesn't arrive until the 26th of March, and to top it off, I'm 14 and am horrible at waiting for things! :(

I guess since I use my iPad in development, this will be a business trip to the store.

Absolutely! No work for me on Friday, if there weren't pre-orders I would be one of the many hanging out in front of an Apple store. FedEx is notorious for screwing up my deliveries so I want to make sure I'm here when it gets here!

I foolishly didn't pre-order in time, so I have to go wait in line. What time do you guys think I should get there? I was thinking 4:00am-ish. It's going to suck big time, but I took the day off so I can do it...

Either way, that should be early enough, no?

You could be arriving too early (or too late) unless you've consulted with someone who has prior experience waiting in line at the store you plan to buy from.

I have friends & family in many different states, and they seem to vary widely depending on several factors.

taking the day off because my brother and family are coming from out of town...of all the weekends they pick to come visit!

I live less than a mile from work, so I plan on F5'ing that Fedex page all morning and clocking out, getting home as fast as I can to bring it inside, and heading back to work. I have an iPad 1 (well had before I sold it), so it's not as exciting for me as it may be for others. I'll definitely spend the evening setting it all up, but it should be pretty good to go after I restore from my backup.
