I think it is incredible, scrolling has just got a new meaning. It does feel natural, at least if you go from a iTouch unit to a mac unit with os x.

I immediately got annoyed and disabled it. Then I figured I'd give it a shot, and I've been using it since. I don't see what the big deal is either way. Use what you're comfortable with. I'll likely keep it, at this point.

I hate it. Thing with the iPad/iPod/iPhone you ARE touching the screen, so that feels natural. I'm not touching the screen on my iMac, I'm touching the magic mouse so it feels weird.

Agree. Only seems "natural" to me if you are touching the screen. What actually got me worse was 2 or 3 finger swipes to go back in Safari. Left is back and Right is forward in my brain... I don't think I could ever adjust to the opposite.

I'm trying really, really hard to get used to it, I'l give it few days, but even after putting my iPhone down and opening up Chrome on the Mac, I always catch myself scrolling the "wrong" way.

I'd love to disable it but can't find a way to do it. I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse combo with the IntelliPoint software installed. I don't get an option for "natural" under the Mouse settings and no trackpad is installed.

The IntelliPoint software only has an option to disable vertical scrolling altogether but no controls over directions. Understandable since Microsoft likely hasn't updated their software. Still doesn't explain why Lion won't give me the option still under its Mouse setting.

So I'm using it but not willingly.

I use it on my Multitouch MBP on an external HDD, but on my tower (with a non-Apple mouse) I use the old way.

I like it, it took a bit of getting used to though.
Once I got it into my head that I was sliding the page up/down and not sliding the scroll bar up/down it was a lot easier.

The Mouse prefpane has the checkbox you're looking for at the top.

I have a MacBook Pro, so I want to keep the Natural Scroll on my trackpad, but I also have a mouse for gaming that shouldn't have its scrolling direction changed. This is my solution (I keep Natural Scrolling on):

Now I've got use to it I quite like the reverse scrolling, it took some getting used to though! I don't like the fact that the three finger swipe in Safari is not reversed though, guess it makes sense though.

Once I found out how to disable it, I disabled it. When I scroll down on the trackpad, I expect the page to move down as well, not up.

Disabled it initially.

Then saw the logic and tried it last night. I like it.

I've even set up my MX Revolution using steermouse to mimic the effect in Snow Leopard on my work machine.

got used to it after one day, no problem at all. people need to be more "open" for new things and stop bitching all the time

I have the same reaction to this as if the government mandated that we all start driving on the left-hand side of the road.

I've switched back and forth and I don't even know what feels natural anymore!!

The "natural" scroll does feel way more intuitive when side-switching between full screen apps, though. I wish I could leave that as natural, and have vertical page scrolling as "unnatural." I keep making mistakes.

No, it's not natural. However a side effect in disabling "Natural" scrolling is that desktop/spaces gestures are now the wrong way round!

As someone else noted earlier, arrow keys aren't inverted so why should a mouse :)

Nope.

This is all I get:

What I consider "Natural" scrolling is what I have been doing for years and years.

So no, I am not using Apple's idea of what natural scrolling should be. Bleh.

At first I turned it off. But tonight I bought a Magic Trackpad, and now it feels better with the option turned ON.
Especially between switching desktops.
